Ping: Anyone have info on stuff to do at night in Rogers, AR

I will be at corporate in Rogers, AR from Tuesday night to Friday night. As it will be my first time out there, I was wondering if anyone knows of anything to do there.

Thanks....

1) Pray that the trip will be over soon.
2) Visit nearby Shrine to Retail.
3) Pray that the trip will really be over soon.
4) Lather.
5) Rinse.
6) Repeat.

I believe Rogers is in a dry county.......could be wrong but i think it might be the wal-mart influence
and really what else would you want to do stuck in rogers, ark?

Go to Fayetteville.

MacroGuru 01-23-2006 08:24 AM

Well, I am flying into Fayetteville, staying in either Bentonville or Rogers, I do not know until I leave tomorrow.

I have to prep one of the tour trucks all week, so I will be in Rogers working, I know that much. After Friday, I will be heading to Tampa, then for the next 6 weeks we will be working from Tampa, up through Florida, then cutting accross and hitting the coasts of the Georgi and the Carolinas, back down to Atlanta, then up into Tennessee, then I head home.

I will actually find the entire schedule including length of time in the areas when I get to Rogers this week. So if I have time, and any FOFCer's are willing to meet for dinner or something, let me know.

Ok, so here's what you can do. Go to Wal-Mart, go to the other Wal-Mart, or go to yet another Wal-Mart. Other then that, go down to the industrial area and maybe you will see me.

I do know for a fact, that there is a Wal-Mart not far from there that is across the stateline in Missouri. It has a big sign on the corner that say "Your Trout Headquarters." I have always wanted to take a picture of that for you guys, but I haven't been through there for a while.

The only thing to do there is to argue if the first Walmart was actually in Rogers or Bentonville. Seriously, go up and ask someone from the area. Then find someone who say it is in the opposite city. A fistfight will follow.

I spent two weeks one night in Bentonville.

I was there to meet with Wal-Mart. There was abso-friggin'-lutely nothing to do there. So we drove across the border into Oklahoma to hit the Indian casino.

I was born in Rogers. Live 5 minutes north of it right now. You can come to see me.

MacroGuru 01-24-2006 03:20 PM

Well, I leave for the airport in 45 minutes....

After that, all posting for the next 7 weeks will be done from the Road...

Funny thing is, I love this, this is the best part of the job, travelling.

My 8 year old is having a rough go of it though.....

Anyways, I might make a small dynasty of the road trips though....

Awww...we're just jokin'. I am actually quite fond of NW Arkansas. I stayed in the Charleston/Booneville area. It was nice.
