what type of ILB would u use on a 3-4 def
i have a good run stopper WLB and a good rushing SLB


ALSO
what type of DE would u use
rushing or run stopping?

Well... here's a couple of things:

In a 3-4 defense, it's the WLB who comes out when you go to a nickel setup, and then it's the SILB who comes out for the dime package. So, if you have guys who are good against teh run but fairly weak against the pass, those are the best slots for them, by most accounts.

You can blitz from anywhere, but lots of people use the SLB slot for that with good effect, sounds like you're in good shape there.

Generally, I want my best all-around LB to be my MLB or WILB -- a guy who can stop the run, defend against the pass, and stay on the field all the time. In my book, one of the most important positions on the defense.


As for DE... I prefer pass rushers there, even in a 3-4 setup. I want a run stopper in the middle (either at NT or at both DT slots), but I want my ends to lead the pass rush. PR Technique seems to be the single most useful rating there.

Contrary to quick, I prefer run stopping guys here, but I can live with either.
