Arctic Monkeys - Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not

Lives up to the hype - excellent, uncomplicated rock music. Not sure how the lyrics will cross over the pond (does Frank Spencer mean anything to anyone?) but give it a listen.

Panic's new one... Should come out this year... TOOL's new one...

I agree, the CD is great. It never really stops going. Its what the Strokes could be if the lead singer didn't mumble (although they completely went away from that in their last album, you could hear him but they couldn't play). I have generally enjoyed the whole post-punk thing, but it is good to hear similar music, but with a band that completely leaves the synth at home. Best album I've heard in quite some time.

dola, my only problem is that all the songs sound the same. While good on one hand, its a little annoying. Not enough to take away my enjoyment of it, but its still just a variation on the exact same rhythm every time.
