license issue?
 

Trying to run FOF2...eLicense panel in Control Panel shows a license installed.

When I try to run the program it gives a pop-up box that says "Can't retrieve a license at this time. Try running this program again later."

Anyone ever seen this, and is it something to worry about?

I think e Licensce doesnt support the game any more ....sadly time to get FOF 4 .

I've never had that problem. Try removing the license and reinstalling the program.

support@elicense has always helped me, and they told me about three months ago they still supported it. I've also unlicensed and re-licensed within the last month when I installed WinXP, so they at least support it to that extent.

Interestingly, I inadvertently discovered a way around the limit on only two licenses. I uninstalled a license because I was going to conduct a "system restore" with XP. After the system restored the computer to a previous date (before I uninstalled the license), FOF 2 was licensed! In addition, the elicense server showed that I still had an uninstalled license.

Interesting, no?

I would just uninstall/reinstall, but the unlicense/license option in the control panel has never worked for me. :(

got my reply from eLicense already, and they sent me a eLicdiagnostic tool?

supposedly it'll give them information about my system that will let them better address the issue, and they said sometimes just running the diagnostic would fix the problem. Sounds weird.

try capitalizing the A & N in the addy, for some reason it makes a difference sometimes

just out of curiosity, what will these files accomplish?

I must have done something wrong there ...

anyways, the file will make sure that the "no licence available at this time" goes off...along with any other annoying/buggy messages.
Basically, that will make it work fine once you registration code is placed.
