Height of your partner?
 

Inspired in part by the Ryan Shrimpcrest thread, I was wondering how many of you guys have dated taller women? How many are married to taller women? Of course, the women can answer the natural opposite questions.

I never dated anyone that was shorter than me until I met my wife. I'm 5'8 and a half. Mrs. Eaglesfan is 5'9 even. It was never an issue for us, but a few of my friends have joked about it and a few of my uncles have joked about it as well. It was slightly odd when we first started slow dancing, but it has never really bothered me. Interestingly, one of my other uncles married a 6'4" women (he is 5'10".) Anyway, I'm just curious.

I don't date power forwards or centers.

My ex-fiance' of 4 years(before my wife), was 6'1". I am 5'11" (and a 1/4).

My flatmate is 6'4 and his girlfriend is 6'2. It's strange hanging out with those two as it makes me feel like (a) shorty.

I've been dating a progression of tiny girls since I came to Japan. Not that they're all tiny-- or, even, that I particularly look fo tiny girls.

But the smallest was maybe 4'10" and I'm 5'7". That presented a few difficulties.

I was getting freanky on the dance floor at a party a couple of nights ago. She was maybe 5 feet. When we progressed to the point of intertwined thighs and pelvic thrusts, her heels were literally coming off the ground as she rode in a somewhat lewd way on my thigh...

Too much height difference can be a problem.

My wife has decent size for an NFL wideout. You'd like her to have another inch or two to get up over those corners, but she can go over the middle if she has to.

My girlfriend is 5'10'', I'm 6'1''.

I'm 5'11", the tallest woman I've ever dated was 5'8". I can't really think of too many woman I've met over about that height though.

I'm 6'4" and my wife is 5'3". I never dated anyone taller, though I think I've only known one or two girls that were my height or taller. I've also never dated anyone heavier than 50 lbs lighter than half my present weight.

Even if one train leaves New York for Chicago going 78 MPH and the other leaves Chicago for New York going 67 MPH?

Right now I'm dating this cutie that's only 4'7"....but once she hits puberty I imagine she'll shoot up at least 6 inches or so......

My wife is 5'0" and I'm 5'11". It hasn't really caused us any issues...although she wishes she were taller whenever we slow dance. I dated one girl who was taller than me, but we didn't see each other for long.

Ok, so my math skills and reading comprehension skills might be a little rusty, so let me take a crack at this. Let's pretend you're 400 lbs as that's pretty heavy. That means you've never dated anyone heavier than 150. If you're 300, we're talking 100. That's quite a bit of differential.

I'm 6'2" and my wife is 5'5". She likes it because it means she gets to wear some fun shoes when we go out. I don't think I care all that much. I don't have the dating history that I suspect a lot of people here have, but I've never dated anyone as tall as me. Then again, there aren't a lot of 6'2" girls out there.

Tallest i've ever had was probably about 6'1 or 6'2, most of it legs.

Well i started to date my wife when we were 14 years old and we are 30 now so i can't talk a lot about my dates as it has been mainly one. I'm 5'11" and she is 5'3". I don't like tall girls.

Now that I think about it, I haven't dated anyone over 5'6" in at least ten years. Where the tall women at?

But if he's 350 - which is roughly what my dad is at that height, I think - that would mean 125.

Also, he said he's *never* dated anyone heavier than that weight. 125 in high school would probably be quite a bit different for him than 125 now.

I'm a hair under 6, well maybe a bit more than a hair at about 5' 11 1/2" and my wife is 5' 1 1/2", err, 5' 2" (see the shrimpcrest thread if you really want to understand ;))

I dated one gal taller than me. She was around 6'1". I never thought twice about it until later on, when I had an attractive female friend who was 6'2" and complained about the difficulty of getting dates because guys were intimidated to be with someone taller than them. :confused:

The tallest one I dated was 5'8". All the others were around 5'2" or 5'4". My wife is 5'0", so she is perfect since she has a place on her head where I can rest my beer!

I'm 5'10 and my wife is 5'9. works out pretty well, but if she's in heels, she's taller. that bugs her more than it does me.

About 5-6 to 5-7 or so (depends on the day it seems) and my wife stands about 5-4. My family has never had really tall people in it. We all seem to top out at 5-7. My wife has relatives who do get near the 6-0 mark, so there may be hope for our kids yet. However, our first has dropped rather precipitously down the growth chart over the last year, so she won't be in the WNBA more than likely. :)

I'm with you Farrah! I'm about 5'5" (on a good day) and radii is a solid 6'4" :)

My GF of 4 years is barely 5 feet tall, im 6'1". Shes 26, but looks about 16. When she was 18, she played a 10 year old on a Nickelodeon show called "You Cant do that on Television" and played a child in a few different commercials... when I first saw her working at my local eatery, I asked my regular waitress if she was old enough to work, not serve beer, but actually work :)

Isn't that the show Alanis Morisette was on? Does she know her?
