My girl and i were just going to be home bodies, but decided we needed to actually eat. So we went out so she could get a smoothie. We go to planet smoothie and there is a bar right next door. As we're walking into the smoothie shop, we see two people making out in front of the bar. My girl is like, these people don't need to be doing that. We get closer, and we see they both have long hair (one has a hat on). I ask, "wait, is that two girls?" My girl says she doesn't know. Obviously I do the "go in without me" bit, but I know that won't fly, so I try to hold my view as long as I can. Right before I walk in the smoothie shop, they stop kissing and I get a good look at them. Two smoking hot women... It was great. I've seen women kissing in a bar, but you kind of expect it. But it really wasn't what I was expecting on the way to get a smoothie. Got to say, it was a pleasant bonus.

That was all.... good night all around though.

I don't really know. I was reading an article in the Oxford Classical Encyclopedia (or some such title - basically an encyclopedia of Greek and Latin cultures). I think the Isle of Lesbos was known for perversion first (which fellatio was apparently considered quite pererse at the time), then became more and more associated with girl on girl stuff, mostly because of the popularity of the poet Sapphos.

It's fun to read Thucyidides' history, with all the allusions to the Armies of the Lesbians.
