How Does This Work
Flash Mind Reader
It's "guessed" right 10 out of 10 times for me. Someone please explain it to the simpleminded. |
All of the possible results have the same symbol.
|
It all has to do with 9. If you look, the symbol is always the same for 9, 18, 27, 36, etc. Each time you play the game, it simply uses a different set of symbols, but their pattern is always the same.
|
The end result of the math they have you do is always a multiple of 9. All the multiples of 9 have the same symbol and change each time.
Or, what cartman said... |
So any 2 digit number added together and then the sum subtracted from the original number ends up with a number that is divisable by 9? How can that be?

AB equals 10*A + B. Subtract the sum of the digits from AB --> 10*A + B - (A+B) = 9*A 9*A is of course always divisible by 9. |
