Primetime Football League under new MGT/needs players
 

Hey, the Primetime Football League is just starting its offseason for 2009. The league is under new management after some recent events. The following teams are currently available:

Dallas
New Orleans
Oakland
Seattle
Tennessee
Washington

good luck with the league. i'd consider joining, but after reading your forums you've seemed to have had quite some trouble with cheaters. far too many for my taste. good luck anyway.

Man, at this point the PFL seems pretty scarred for life. I think it'd be better to take whichever owners you have that aren't cheating and form a nice new "clean" league. Cause the site looks all nice and stuff, but its forever got a scarlett A on it for me, and I'm sure for some others that might think of joining at some point.

totally. i would possibly consider joining up with you guys but under a different banner. PFL in my book stands for "People who like to cheat Football League".

maybe u should restart will the new roster too. if that i would be interested

yeah, as leader of the MP forum here at FOFC, i declare i, too, would be interested if you restarted the league, this time without cheaters. let me know.

Well, I'm sorry ya'll feel that way. I know our league has been through a lot lately, but we're moving forward. The commissioner has been replaced, the rules committee expanded and while we're not starting completely from fresh, we have good GMs, who deserve a medal for weathering the storm, and I know that the league will be fine as we move forward.

I was just posting this as we start a new season, and personally, I think it's a little bit of a jerk thing to post this discussion here. We're not the only league that has had controversy or scandals and we certainly won't be the last. If you want to discuss the situation there has been plenty of that in the General Discussion board, and we're trying to move forward.

But since ya'll are here anyways, here's my take. Have we had cheaters in the past? Yes. Have they gotten caught? Yes. Have we moved to correct any damage they have done? Yes. Are we implementing rules and oversight to ensure what was done will never happen again? Yes. What more do you want from us? Restarting the league isn't an option, we have too many people with too much time invested for that. Otherwise, if ya'll have some suggestion besides just restarting the league, I'd like to hear them. Otherwise, please leave the comments to another board.

When you copied the Owners page from the IHOF, you forgot to replace all references to the spacer.gif on the IHOF server. Not nice to call images on someone elses server.

FWIW, way back when Shipman started the PFL, he asked me if he could copy our template before doing so. He may be a cheater, but at least he was polite about a few things.
