LIVE FROM LONDON!!

uh yeah and the museum is huge and incredible |
you're getting me cricket games while you're over there, right? :)
|
So, are you in Trafalgar Square?
|
Across the street from the British Museum is (assuming the front entrance) a relatively decent pub, if I remember correctly. ;)

Right around the corner (towards Buckingham Palace) is the Texas Embassy! :) |

I think I could have spent about a week in there. Have fun! |

 Typical tourist - more impressed that his phone can send e-mails across the Atlantic than the huge amount of history and culture before his eyes :D ;) :p |
Been there, done that
Have fun dude...least the pubs are open later. |

You can't go anywhere in London without tripping over a pub. I thought there was only one close to our office at Hyde Park corner, but it turns out there were 10 within a half mile! |
Dola,
DT - in case you don't see it on your phone, there are lots of smilies after my previous post - hope you enjoy our hospitality! Even though it's still damn cold, it is unbeleivably 4-5 degrees warmer today than recently |
pub called The Plough? all red? looking right at it. may check it out in a bit

Daddy the Slingbox beta mediaplayer was released for our phone today.. Now you can not only post from London on FOFC, but watch your cable TV anywhere you want.. You could be cranking up the NCAA tourney in a while.. |

Um, it's the National Gallery which is on Trafalgar... |
Look kids, Big Ben, Parliament.

Well, he mentioned just a generic, lower-caps "british museum", so I made a guess and thought he was referring to the National Gallery. |
Sorry, thought it was obvious he meant "the" British Museum.
|
Order a champagne American.
although you'd have to be in France to do that |

What would have been great is if he answered, "No, the place I'm in has a giant pole in the middle surrounded by a bunch of fountains." :D |

*Although most of them are slowly turning into glorified restaurants - which doesn't bother me too much personally, just so long as they still televise the soccer matches when they're on ;) |

The Grenadier was basically right behind our office. I don't see that one turning into a glorified restaurant any time soon... :D |
Sometimes I'm still not sure whether things I post have come out as I intended - my 'typical tourist' post was taken as a joke, right?
(Not saying it was actually funny btw, just that it wasn't serious) |
Quote:
I thought it was funny if that helps. :) |

Quit worrying, shorts! Everyone knows you were actually slamming Torgo's touristy behavior. I mean, if you were joking, you would have put at least 30 more smileys after it. :) |
Have you seen H.M.S. Victory?
|

well I totally gotit if that helps. and marc too bad none of you guys will be in london...I'd buy you a drink or two
|
Quote:
Marc will be in London shortly.... -Anxiety |

Hmm watching your typing deteriorate you seem to have a head start :p Can you get me a Tottenham Kit while you are there? |

I think the exchange rate has gotten a bit more favorable, but when I was in Europe about 16 months ago, it was cheaper to just order anything like that I wanted online than to buy it there. I thought that was kinda crazy. |

That's in Portsmouth not London. Edit: You may be thinking of H.M.S. Belfast, a WW2 battlecruiser, which is permenantly moored on the Thames. |
saw the belfast didn't go on it though. actually saw it from the tower of london...good times that was.
|
Make sure you leave the ravens where they are dude ;)
