It's leaking out that UAB is going to hire Mike Davis as their next college basketball coach. I think that he's got a good match here, as UAB isn't as high on the radar screen as IU was.

Well, I think it's just that Mike Davis is an Alabama guy and he recruits really well down south. I think it's a great fit, but without that Indiana experience, I don't think he'd ever have been considered as a head coaching candidate. So, in a way, fate worked for him a lot. And getting to the tournament with that team after the adversity they faced earlier this year increased his stock.

Excellent news for CUSA. Bad news for my Miners...

Mike Anderson is a much better coach, in my opinion. I hope that Davis does well. I think he will be a fine recruiter as DC mentioned. However, I think Davis lacks talent in the bench coaching department. Some IU fans can correct me if I am wrong.

Jeebs, UTEO just needs to recruit better. I know its hard to get players to come to this conference with the shape it is in, but they are going to have to find a way.

For what it is worth, I think Houston will be much improved this year.
