Total Realism.

Definately Total Realism. I don't play without that mod anymore.

you can play R:TW without Total Realism?

/sarcasm off

I never got around to playing R:TW. I am actually currently replaying Medieval Total War for the third or fourth time. How does R:TW stack up to M:TW?

That's funny, just tonight my 6yo asked me why I don't play R:TW anymore (I barely got out of the tutorial, back around when it was originally released).

Supposedly there is going to be an expansion pack released fora fee very soon. It will be an Alexander campaigna nd added historical battles from that time period. It also will add four civilizations.
From Computer and Video Game Magazine and Blues News:
"Rome: Total War - Alexander Unveiled [April 05, 2006, 6:11 pm ET] -
There's a Rome: Total War - Alexander Preview on Computer and Video Games that reveals plans for an add-on for Creative Assembly's RTS game that will feature the legendary general featured in that unfortunate recent film. Here's word on the plan, which includes that trendy digital distribution that all the kids are talking about:
Reckoned by many pundits to be the greatest general of all time, Alexander's campaign is set to recreate his epic push to conquer the known world, spanning the years from the death of Philip II of Macedon in 336BC up to Alexander himself carking it. Throw in six new historical battles that highlight his most momentous conflicts - all also playable in multiplayer - and you're looking at the best part of 40 hours of gameplay.

Four new factions will be available, namely Alexander's Macedonian army, The Persians, The Indians and the Barbarians. The 50-odd new units will include the Theban Sacred band, Indian Elephants, Persian immortals and even Indian naked female archers.
