I was just about to go the the MLB thread and post the same thing. I have a pure hatred for this guy.

Another 2 run bomb to Jones. Why can't this guy just tear an arm ligament and call it a season already, or a career.

Between him and Jorge Julio, I will have pulled out all my hair by the end of May.

At least 1 of each. Trachsel isnt great, Bannister looks ok, but we'll see when he makes his 2nd loop around the league and the bullpen, well I just don't trust Duaner Sanchez or Darren Oliver or Pedro Feliciano.

Well, I trust Duaner so far... aside from that, I agree with that post.

If Zambrano could only pitch against the last 4 Braves hitters he'd have a perfect game.

Yes it will. While Kazmir is off competing for Cy Young awards, we will be watching Zambrano, well hopefully on the DL, but if not, then watching him give up many more bombs to Andruw Jones.

Sanchez is going to be a rock-solid reliever for you guys, but yeah, you'd have been better off keeping Seo and dumping Zambrano.

Another head scratcher! Why let Seo go?! Maybe because it would have looked back to dump Zambrano, basically admitting the Mets let Kazmir go for nothing.

One of these "can't miss" prospects the Mets gave away to Tampa Bay. He's supposed to be a stud, in his early career I would say he's looked pretty good, one thing is for sure, he won't/can't be worse than Zambrano.

Last year went 10-9 with a 3.77 ERA (114 ERA+) in basically his first full year.

Ive learned 1 lesson from playing sports managment games, never ever trade away young studs. especialy when your desperate.

Too bad Jim Duquette (i think he was the GM at the time) didn't learn this. Worst part is the Mets are still paying for this mistake every time Zambrano takes the mound.

I drafted Heilman in my fantasy league expecting him to be the 5th starter. Looks like he is blowing that opportunity by being a rock solid middle reliever. Any chance of him getting some starts?

Are you forgetting about Zambrano? Randolph is not going to be so thick headed to let him continue to pitch if he continues sucking it up.

Gotta love letting the pitcher get on with 2 outs and then subsequently loading the bases and giving up a homer to the team with the least amount of homers in the major. Bite the bullet Omar. Peterson can't fix him. Sign Kazmir as a free agent in 5 years.

The argument is always "the Mets keep him in the rotation because otherwise, they would have nothing to show for the Kazmir trade."

Here's my stance: If we didn't have to see him blow every start, we wouldn't be reminded of how much he sucks, and how little we got for Kazmir. Out of sight, out of mind...we'll move on. It's hard to move on when you have zero confidence in your starter every 5 days.

At some point you just have drop your losses and let them go. Put Heilman in the rotation instead. Maybe Zambrano can hang out in the bullpen (but rarely used) if they don't want to get rid of him entirely.

He's gotta go, thats all there is to it. The last place I would want is to see him is in the bullpen. At least in the rotation he can suck for 4 innings, giving us 5 to get back in the game. Put him in the pen, it goes without saying that he will blow it, leaving us with on 2 or 3 innings to get the lead back.

Maybe a package trade of Zambrano, Julio and Jose Valentin (another waste of a roster spot)? There's got to be another complete loser Peterson can "save."

They traded 2 pitchers who are so much better than Zambrano in the offseason, one who they got nothing back for, and now I have to watch this piece of crap every 5 days?

Zambrano vs Park tonight, neither pitcher allowed a run. Padres win in extra innings 1-0.

And somewhere in Hell, Satan turns up the thermostat a few degrees to ward off the creeping chill.

Factually correct, but it was Carlos Zambrano. And Park not allowing a run against that Cub lineup shouldn't necessarily be looked at as a success, maybe just 'expected'.
