Vince Young & Reggie Bush's debuts
 

This is the first time I've been so excited about an NFL season, and it's probably because of all the hype behind these two rookies. Normally my interest in the NFL doesn't pickup until just before the playoffs start. So then, what's your prediction for these two guys in their first professional, regular season game as a starter?

For me:

Vince Young - 47% completition, 0 TDs, 2 INT, 3.3ypc.

Reggie Bush - 3.7ypc, 64 yards, 0 TDs.

Vince Young will be sitting on the bench to start the season.

Vince Young - 17 DIH*

Reggie Bush - 4 DIH*


* DIH is little known, but often used "Deer In Headlights"

Vince Young: 6/17, 93 yards, 0 TD, 0 INT, 45 yard rushing on 7 carries

Reggie Bush: 17 carries, 112 yards, 1 TD, 1 fumble

I think Bush may have more receiving yards than rushing his first game.

Agreed. Bush will get mostly short passes or some random downs to relieve Deuce, but they probably won't split 50-50. I say 5-10 carries at most.

That they'll both be in 2007.

Vince Young - 16/24, 220 yds, 2 tds, 0 int, 35 on three carries.
Reggie Bush - 17 carries, 142 yds, 2 TDS

Bush as a starter... 14 carries, 71 yards- 6 receptions, 67 yards, 1TD in a loss.

Young as a starter.. if its in his second year: 17-31, 197 yards, 1 td, 1 int - 5 rushes, 41 yards - sacked 2 times.

if it is this year: 12-29, 157 yards, 0 td, 2 int - 7 rushes, 86 yards, 1 td - sacked 1 time.

Young: 5-23, 54 yards. 0 tds 2 int. 4 rushes 37 yards and one td for the other team when he becomes confused which way they are going on offense.

Bush: 1 carry, 12 yards and a broken fibula.

Young - 13-24, 0 TD, 3 INT, 1 fumble, 5 rushes, 27 yds
Bush - 18 carries, 84 yds, 5 receptions, 59 yds, 1 receiving TD

vince will go 1/3 in mop up duty

Vince 8 of 21 for 73 yards, 0 TD, 2 INT 6 carries for 35 yards.

Reggie 10 carries for 68 yards (most of them on one long carry) 1 TD. 4 receptions for 52 yards.

Vince - 0 for 16, 0 yards, 4 interceptions, 5 scrambles for 11 yards, 3 sacks

Bush - 22 carries, 200 yards, 3 touchdowns

They're both going to bust.

I was assuming that Vince starts in his second season. Same for Bush.

On all them groupies.

Young's actual line = 48% completion, 1 TDs, 2 INT, 0.6ypc.

I was pretty darn close.
