New Song - FOF Old School Rap!

Ok just messing around with this one so it may not be my best stuff, but it was still fun to try to keep up with that cadence.

That is, by FARRRRRR, the closest to the original of all of your parodies. I stand in awe, sir.

Dutch 05-25-2006 05:53 PM

word up, ant!

Ben E Lou 05-25-2006 05:55 PM

Gotta say it again. Wow....just wow. Three things REALLY jumped out the first time: JonInMiddleGA was over the top, as was the Jim Gindin end. The best, however, was this section:

Where is the board moderator? Ruthless dictator?
Damn you Skydog, Dark Council creator!
Shorty needs to take a rest, rest up for college classes
I'll be posting, web site hosting, I'll be boasting to the masses
Marmel's nuts, will just fuss, won't post too much
Then there is Drake, got the break, book made the cut
And then a mod got blitzed, and I'd like to say
he's not bad, but was passed and his name is Blade
You absolutely NAILED the cadence of one of the all-time classic hip-hop tunes, my friend.

Franklinnoble 05-25-2006 05:57 PM

Does anyone else think he sounds a little like one of the dudes who sings for the Bloodhound Gang?

JeeberD 05-25-2006 05:59 PM

What song is this based on, SD?

Great stuff, Ant. It had been too long since the last one... :)

Ben E Lou 05-25-2006 06:01 PM

Download isn't working. :(

SirFozzie 05-25-2006 06:02 PM

Thanks. Huge Run DMC fan back in the day, so I pretty much knew a number of songs by heart. It's too bad I can't nail their distinct voices, so I pretty much messed around just to see if I still rap at that pace. Now if I could nail down Twista in Slow Jamz then I would feel really proud. That is one song I am trying to nail down.

Nice. I never ever heard of this band and did a little research. Now my wife wants to buy their albums. I like their sense of humor, but no one there sounds like me. I mean some of them can actually sing. :D

Groundhog 05-25-2006 07:03 PM

Oh snap, I made the cut too!

Another masterpiece Ant!

MJ4H 05-25-2006 07:06 PM

I demand to be in the next antmeister song!

BYU 14 05-25-2006 08:28 PM

I made the cut, a nice belated Wedding present :)

Top notch as always Ant, how is Texas by the way? We are in our normal triple digits now in the valley of the Sun.

The way I see, you should be careful what you wish for.

"Jeeber, Jeeber, Jeeber D, Jeeber...."

:)

oliegirl 05-25-2006 10:22 PM

We made the cut, but I'm not sure if we should be honored or insulted!

Seriously, that is awesome...

wade moore 05-26-2006 06:25 AM

Bravo!

Raiders Army 05-26-2006 06:49 AM

Great cover! Jeez...this brings me back. I like the 80s cover songs because they remind me of the simple great times.

Julio Riddols 05-26-2006 07:05 AM

Temperatures have have from high 70's to low 90's. The weird thing that is happening though is that my skin is changing.

Well I know this is way off topic, but when I moved from San Diego to Phoenix, the skin on my feet started to dry. No matter how many gallons of lotion I rubbed into the bottom of my feet, my feet would just drink it up. On top of that, I usually had to carry a small bottle of lotion because the dry weather would make my elbows and knees ash up.

Since moving from Phoenix to Austin, my skin had gotten more oily and the dry skin on my feet is literally peeling off as if I was a lizard. It probably has much to do with the humidity, but I didn't expect to happen so fast.

Raiders Army 05-26-2006 02:55 PM

Damn. That sounds horrible. Maybe switch your soap. When we lived in El Paso (and will do so again next month) our skin dried out excessively so we switched to a moisturizing soap. Helped a little, but not much. My wife used to have the problem with the feet and she would put the lotion on right before she went to sleep and wore socks. That seemed to help with the feet.

Edit--put the socks on after the lotion and slept with the socks on.

That sounds like a good idea with the socks thing, but I don't think I will have that problem anymore since I shed skin. The new skin is much more smoother. It is like my feet is going through some sort of mutation.

I vote to host all of the FOF music parodies.

I've been sad since the link from the "In Da Club" parody stopped working.

Great job on the new one!:)

Crim 05-27-2006 12:27 PM

That was great! I'd forgotten about this old Run DMC song, but you brought it all back to me... nice work!
