Real men of genius

This guy's idea is great!

Cordless jump-rope can help the clumsy

I am working on the engine-less car. It will really take off with these killer gas prices...

Cringer 05-30-2006 02:06 PM

SO I could jump rope while sitting even? And since the guy only has one handle made so far I can jump rope while drivng and still have one hand free to steer.

Perfect.

This made me laugh on the Patently Silly website referenced in the yahoo article:

Bowflex offers weight-less weightlifting based on resistance. Even their dumbbells are weight-less. So I can see a market for these. I just hope he doesn't invent cordless bungee jumping.

This one was a pretty good comment:

A digital cordless rope would be even better. You could still have the weights, but the weights would count how many revolutions. It would also be cool if the Digital rope could time the revolutions with your jump and give you a count of successful and unsuccessful jumps. Then you could store your results on a PC via USB port and report on your progress in Excel. And what if it was Web Aware, where you could download songs or rhythms to jump too? It could use an SD card for downloadable content. (Just my 2 cents) :)

Steer... or whatever this inventor might be inclined to do with one free hand. I have a guess.

If you buy my engine-less car, you don't even need to worry about steering! If you are one of the first 1,000,000,000,000,000,000 right NOW, I'll throw in a free, that's right FREE, cordless jump-rope with the purchase of an engine-less car...

Cringer 05-30-2006 02:29 PM

In order to do what QS is suggesting, you may need to throw in some porn too. But I am listening.....

Suburban Rhythm 05-30-2006 02:32 PM

Actually, the free instructional video that comes with the cordless jump-rope contains scenes of porn, to prove to you all the things you can do with your other hand. You might need to rewind-and-play a couple times...but I'd need to create a handle-less jump rope to be able to do that...

Cringer 05-30-2006 02:34 PM

I hope this is a video that doesn't require a vcr/dvd player or even a tv?

Actually, if you go with the engine-less Escalade model, it comes complete with a DVD player, so you can not go anywhere in style.

There's a patent just waiting for you on this.

Lorena 05-30-2006 02:36 PM

That patent silly page has some hilarious stuff... like Receptacle Assembly for Receiving Canine Fecal Matter. Wow, the things people come up with
