Welcome Back Mark Prior

Gives up 6 runs in the 1st vs Detroit, all off three home runs.

Kenny Rogers, barring a collapse, looks like he should be well on his way to career win #200.

ISiddiqui 06-18-2006 01:43 PM

Maybe Prior needed another rehab start?

Cringer 06-18-2006 01:48 PM

Is he injured again yet?

Schmidty 06-18-2006 02:25 PM

8 runs now off Prior.

I love these Tigers. All the suffering is paying off. :D

bosshogg23 06-18-2006 02:48 PM

7 home runs in the game so far(combined). Balls are really jumping in Wrigley today.

bosshogg23 06-18-2006 02:50 PM

Dola

Make that 8 now.

DeToxRox 06-18-2006 03:22 PM

Tigers hit their 7th HR, 9th total in the game.

Rogers is 2 innings away from #200.

TLK 06-18-2006 03:23 PM

8th. This game has been amazing.

DeToxRox 06-18-2006 03:23 PM

As I type that, Inge hits his 2nd HR, Tigers 8th of the game.

Schmidty 06-18-2006 03:24 PM

8!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DeToxRox 06-18-2006 03:24 PM

Kenny Rogers double no less. A nice cherry on top.

Schmidty 06-18-2006 03:25 PM

This is the best game I've seen all year even though it wasn't close.

Best part is each HR nets 20 K for Prostate Cancer, so this game is up to 200 K alone.

The Tigers are going to single-handedly eliminate prostate cancer from the face of the earth.

Hahaha. Well played for a Sparty. :)

DeToxRox 06-18-2006 03:55 PM

Cubs hit a HR in the 9th, make it HR #11 total on the day.

DeToxRox 06-18-2006 03:56 PM

And its in the books.

Congrats to Kenny Rogers on career win #200

And his AL leading 10th win of the season. Schilling is the only one with even 9.

Yeah, he's really had a nice second half of his career. If he started his career as a starter, he'd probably be around 250-260 right now.

Passacaglia 06-18-2006 06:16 PM

Hey guys...

There'll be time enough for counting, when the dealin's done.

Sorry.

Give it 2 or 3 weeks. He'll have one good start and Dusty will ride him all the way for 150 pitches, and his arm will explode in the middle of a pitch.

Enjoy his annual second-half collapse...

Feh. Beats a first-through-second half collapse. Shit, it would be nice if Prior and Wood were good enough to put together a few decent starts so they could then suck and have it be called a collapse. A career that never gets built and thus never collapses is called what?

sovereignstar 06-21-2006 11:19 AM

It'll be nice to see the Twins rock this looser. He was kind enough to let the Twins know that they'd better not draft him even though there was no chance it was going to happen anyways.
