Do you WINE.WOOT?

hxxp://wine.woot.com/

The latest offering from the folks at WOOT! The wine offering changes every week, not every day, but hopefully there will be some good deals down the line.

JeeberD 06-21-2006 12:10 PM

Oh hell yeah, I'll be checking that out...

ISiddiqui 06-21-2006 12:15 PM

Unfortunatly wine cannot be shipped to Georgia :(.

Desnudo 06-21-2006 12:27 PM

Sweet. I will definitely be wooting it up.

Desnudo 06-21-2006 12:29 PM

Chardonnay. Great story, but I'll pass.

Ditto.

Peregrine 06-25-2006 12:50 AM

Thanks for the info, I'll be keeping an eye on this.

JeeberD 06-27-2006 01:48 PM

Pinot Noir this week...

Desnudo 06-27-2006 02:54 PM

Interesting feedback on it. Apparently a good label, but that particular year got mixed reviews.

I'm passing because bad Pinot Noir is really bad. Not worth the risk imo.

MacRostie 2003 Paso Robles Syrah Quartet
$39.99

I've never had a Syrah before...what's it similar to?

WSUCougar 07-05-2006 01:39 PM

Shiraz

JeeberD 07-05-2006 02:04 PM

I'll have to get a bottle, then. I love me some Shiraz...

MrBug708 07-05-2006 03:10 PM

Syrah is the French version of Shiraz

DanGarion 07-06-2006 08:25 AM

Sweet.

Desnudo 10-12-2006 11:07 AM

Seeing the other Woot thread reminded me of this one. Has anyone bought anything from them yet?

2 Parker Station 2003 Syrah
1 Parker Station 2003 Chardonnay
1 Parker Station 2005 Pinot Noir

Awesome! I've been looking for something like this since I got back from napa. I joined the Niebaum-Coppolla wine family (best wine I have ever had), and they send me a few bottles every quarter. While I was in Napa, I bought about 2 cases of wine total, and had it shipped back and I am almost all out.

cartman 10-12-2006 11:56 AM

I've been finding the Costco has some amazing wines for pretty cheap. There is a great Italian red for around $11-13 named TreRose. I think it was a 2001. So lately I've been getting my wine fix from both Costco, and Driftwood Vineyards. which is right down the road from me.

gottimd 01-30-2007 07:28 AM

Damn I wish they did this more than once a week. Anyone know of any other sites like this for wine?

WSUCougar 01-30-2007 07:41 AM

Wine.com is decent, if you wait for good prices and/or shipping specials.

That site seems like it for accessories and information. I was hoping to find another site that you can sort of bulk order decent wines. I guess I'll just have to take my lazy ass to the local wine store.

kurtism 01-30-2007 09:21 AM

Barring local shipping laws, many wineries will direct ship to your home. I doubt the prices are particularly great, but it is another option...
