McMeh

Had my first McGriddle this morning. I love sausage egg muffins so I never had the desire to try these, but I broke down this morning and got one to see what all the fuss is about.

I prefer the SEM.

Yum.

Bee 07-12-2006 10:22 AM

McGriddles are pretty freaking nasty IMO. THE SEM is also what I normally get when I stop at McDs for breakfast.

Greyroofoo 07-12-2006 10:27 AM

The rare times I stop at McDs for breakfast I usually get a BEC Biscuit

wade moore 07-12-2006 10:56 AM

I'm a fan of the McGriddle... When I was having 1 1/2 hour rides in, I stopped at McD's all too frequently and the Bacon Egg and Cheese McGriddle became a favorite...

Mc Donald's needs to stop trying to make the next super special item of food, and rely on making good consistent food. Instead of the Big N Tasty, Big Mac, etc. have a standard 1/4 pd. burger. Have lettuce, tomato, onion, mayo, mustard, and ketchup be the standard fixings, and have a $.25 charge for each of cheese and bacon. If you want to get exotic have salsa or chili be an optional topping too.

I bet their sales would go through the roof.

While I am ranting, Wendy's burgers have really gone downhill in the last two years.

Because McDonald's has been hurting for sales with their current method?

Um, doesn't that pretty much describe the Big N Tasty?

(sans the mustard)

M GO BLUE!!! 07-12-2006 11:13 AM

How can anybody eat McDonalds?

The last time I ate a burger was over a decade ago. My stomach instantly turned over from that Quarter Pounder.

I had not had a breakfast sandwich in a while, but used to love them... SO I got a sausage, egg & cheese bagel. I threw it out. It taseted like it was just fake. Like what I would expect a wax-fruit version of a breakfast sandwich to taste like.

Instead I go to a little coffee shop and get them to make a bacon, egg & cheese sandwich on a toasted roll. The actually use real bacon, real eggs, and real cheese! Imagine the concept!!

McDonald's uses what, Play-Doh?

I thought they had a special sauce on that burger too. That or they have way too much of a funky mayo on it.

Pumpy Tudors 07-12-2006 11:23 AM

A McGriddles is like an explosion of some type of syrup into your mouth. And I don't mean the good kind.

On another note: hxxp://community.livejournal.com/mcgriddlefanfic

MizzouRah 07-12-2006 11:23 AM

Oh no.. the B-N-T has lettuce, tomato, pickel, onion, mayo, and cheese if you want it.

I get it without cheese or mayo.. but it's the BEST hangover food, imo. ..along with fries and a coke. It's the ONLY time I eat Mc anything besides an occasional Egg Mc Muffin.

You feel comfortable making a first hand analogy on this one?

Warhammer 07-12-2006 11:25 AM

That's it, no ketchup or mustard. They also need to go easy on the mayo. I hate it when I bite into a burger and mayo comes oozing out. Ketchup or mustard is ok like that, mayo no.

The Big N' Tasty is a McDonald's fast food sandwich introduced February 16, 2001 with NBA Superstar Kobe Bryant featured in the advertising campaign. Originally featured at $.99 as a promotion, it includes a quarter pound beef patty, sesame seed bun, lettuce, tomato slice, mayonnaise dressing, ketchup, chopped onions, three pickle slices, and grill seasoning, was received positively by customers.

I used to love the Arch Deluxe. Working there for a summer I must have eaten one of those things every day.

Sorry, there is ketchup - I get it without mayo.

WSUCougar 07-12-2006 12:23 PM

McMeh = :D

Breakfast is the only way I'll go to Burger King (croissandwich).

Amen.

That french toast sandwich sucks.

stevew 07-12-2006 02:18 PM

This thread is McHeresy.

I prefer the enormous omlet sandwhich and the the ham egg cheese croissant from BK, but if I'm going McD's, it's definitely the BEC McGriddle.

DanGarion 07-12-2006 02:22 PM

Dude the Ciabatta Breakfast sandwich from Jack in the Box is the best in the world!

Time for a poll?

Franklinnoble 07-12-2006 02:37 PM

I like Jack in the Box because I can get an ultimate cheeseburger for breakfast.

No love for the breakfast burritos? Do they still have them? They were always a nice, tasty way to gut-bomb your day.

Schmidty 07-12-2006 02:46 PM

I miss the McDLT.

Cold and crispy on one side. Hot and juicy on the other side. Mmmmmm.....

So true. Bring back the McDLT... and the styrofoam boxes, while you're at it.

hehe

I just don't like that BK uses some sort of egg-like mix and microwaved. McD's toasts real english muffins and uses real eggs ( who knows about the sausage... it's a don't ask don't tell relationship ).

Well it said sausage on the boxes, when I used to work there.

Right, but isn't sausage like Hotdogs? All butts/lips/assholes?

Yep, depending on the type, but it's above by-products! :)

I've always preferred to say "hooves, tails, and snouts" but yours works just as well.

ISiddiqui 07-12-2006 04:29 PM

I will say I'm really enjoying the new Southern Style Chicken Biscuit. :D
