The best FOF 2004 experience

is it with real or fictional teams?

is it with real or fictional players?

has anyone come up with 32 alternate cities/nicknames for teams?

Izulde 07-13-2006 09:31 PM

I've thought about creating a fictional universe and doing a dynasty for it...

But so far I find the 1970 roster file with real draft classes after that to be the most enjoyable.

Fictional teams, fictional players, multiplayer is best. :)

both are (should ?) be great fun, it's all about how you play the game.
In solo play, I have careers with both the "NFL" teams & players and fictionnal ones and I enjoy them all.

In my opinion, these are the two best FOF 2004 Experiences:

www.fof-gefl.com

Do any decent MP leagues have openings btw?

Dutch 07-14-2006 11:18 AM

I was thinking about setting up a league with 16 North American city teams and 16 teams from cities around the world and running a dynasty off of that.

But right now I'm in the middle of an empty cupboard SP game where I start off with the absolute worst players in the game (0/0 to 8/15 players) and can only build through the draft or sign the absolute worst 1-yr free agents in the game. I'm thinking of limiting my draft picks to defense also.

I'm really doing a study to see how playing time affects guys with no ratings. I want to see if any of these guys turn out to be any good ratings wise.

My first season was 1-15. Not too shabby for a bunch of bums!

I like starting with real players, since it transitions easier for me into the fictional players that come in every year during the draft. I get used to the fictional players over time, instead of having to initially take a lot of time in learning the fictional players.

I can recommend the HFL - I believe that Tampa is available.

Man, must suck to be on the team that you beat...
