They won't, they are known in the adult industry for other projects and i can asure you they can pay it without problems. The issues they are facing right now are legal issues with the USA 2257 regulations. Basicaly they say that they can't control what is uploaded to their servers... but ignorance doesn't let you break the laws... let's see. I know this from the owner who posts in another board i frecuent too (adult webmasters related). They are also pissing the adult site owners a lot, as the more free content around, the less will ppl pay for it.. the kazaa/napster example again.

Bingo! They already have the "Psycho Girl" video uploaded, which is widely known since the girl in it is only 14 or 15 and it made the national news. This video went around Fark about 5 times a year or so ago until the connection was made between the video and the news story. Editorial mishaps like that get you shut down and real fast.

And even if it is not illegal now, I could see laws being passed just to make this illegal.

Heck, this may be just what Congress needs in order to make the copyright laws even more Draconian. Even if you are a congressman who thinks that the pendulum should not swing any farther toward protection of product as opposed to free disimination of information, you could not really argue against a bill designed to stop a site like this. It is just too much.

Now, if the "anti-pornotube" bill happens to evicerate fair use, etc. Well that is just an "unfortunate side effect." If I were the MPAA, RIAA, etc., I would be all over this as an opportunity.

I think this (or some flavor) is probably here to stay. Once they get their act together and crack down on underage videos and copyright infirngement issues, I don't see much that anyone can do to them...
