Magic Bullet Blender

Anybody have a Magic Bullet Blender?

http://www.buythebullet.com/

How is it?

I'm not going to answer your question since I don't have one, but I am absolutely mesmerized by these infomercials. The acting is so bad.

My favorite part is the one guy who says "I hate broccoli," and makes a face like he's eating it.

I got it!

It's actually pretty cool. I was disappointed in the way it cut blocks of cheese (it'll shread the first one pretty good, but then the second (or third) block will bounce off the blades). It does mixed drinks well (which I guess was a big selling point).

You just have to watch out because it'll shred things really quickly and you may have liquid instead of bits of solid. Also if you are shreading some veggies, the ones closest to the blade tend to gum up, preventing shreading of the rest, until you clean out the shreaded ones. It can get annoying at times.

Is this the infomercial where there's that old woman in some housecoat and has a cigarette actually HANGING out of her mouth?

I have it. I use it almost every day. Mostly for smoothies. I do use it for muffins and eggs. Although it doesn't chop large ice well. It does better with small ice.

I second all of these comments...I tried to make salsa in it once and the line between super chunky/unblended and soup is VERY thin...it is very cool though.

That's the one. Really gross.

When I was in Michigan two weeks ago, one of the friends we had dinner with had one. They look awesome, and based on that friend's love of it, I'm buying one.

If you call within the next 18 minutes, you can get two for the price of one.

We got one for Christmas and is makes nice milk shakes and smoothies. Other than that we don't really use it. Probably a bit of waste overal.

We just got one. I haven't used it, but judging by my wife's experience with it, it works great for blending non solid things while trying to handle harder things like the veggies and cheese, it's a bit more difficult than they show on TV. If you can figure out how to do that well, it would be well worth while.

Actually it was worth getting it just so I could stop hearing my wife say she wanted one. :)

I can't understand this. If someone came into possession of Magic Bullets, why would they want to blend them?

I'd buy it if it were a lot cheaper. 99.99 for a blender is excessive, even if you do get 2.

I got mine on ebay for $60, and have seen it for the same price at Target...

You can probably find it cheaper now in regular stores.

I keep thinking this product is one of those dual-purposes jobbies that keeps the ladies happy and also makes them margaritas afterwards.

Dude, reverse the order, and you won't need the blender. Save some power.

Well, I was more thinking that it is a solo device and they wouldn't want the coldness caused by crushed ice, so, it would behoove them to make the drinks afterwards. They don't need a magic bullet otherwise.
