3. I heart MP FOF.

4. My wife has never met a car she can't wreck.

5. My basketball skills are as good, if not better, than 12 year old Djiboutian orphans.

6. I reserve the right to add to, remove, or otherwise modify the things I know for sure.

7. I know better than to call my wife at 4 am in the morning.

8. Knoxville Rebels rock.

9. Jim Jensen and the New England Patriots rock in the GEFL.

10. I can't tolerate stupidity.

11. I have no ignore list.

Shouldn't it be "Things I think I know for sure" then?

Nah not really - for instance No 4 (4. My wife has never met a car she can't wreck.) was true in the past for my wife - however she has since found a car so large* that other road users have enough warning to dodge her (and also large enough to squad small fence posts and the like when she decides they are taking up a space where her car should be) .... hence it is no longer true.

*The combination of Volvo indestructability combined with SUV size has survived intact so far :D

8. I am a whoopass miner

9. I enjoy puke green socks.

Let's hope your wife never meets my wife on the road. My wife could help yours make No 4 true again.

Bump. Updated to add 3 and 11. I hate being me right now.
Edit: What the heck is wrong with my editing? Did I get jbmagic'd?

Poli 08-06-2006 11:11 PM

Woo! I can edit again!

JeeberD 08-06-2006 11:12 PM

10. I'm a huge fan of the Muscatine Mosquitoes.

Poli 08-06-2006 11:14 PM

SackAttack 08-28-2006 01:16 AM

silver lining in the thyroid, ardent?

Poli 08-28-2006 01:51 AM

Possibly. Hard to decide what I like better. Good health and stay here or bad health and go home.

Edit to try and add a photo from 2 weeks ago or so.

SackAttack 08-28-2006 02:44 AM

I'm betting the guy in the Go Vols shirt is you.

Why not a compromise? Health suffers just enough to get out of Djibouti, but with no long-term effects!

Poli 08-28-2006 02:50 AM

You forgot the Tennessee hat, shorts, socks, and shoes. I got orange everywhere. :)

SackAttack 08-28-2006 03:14 AM

The picture's not good enough to see anything on the hat, socks or shoes.

The shirt's readable, though, and couldn't the shorts have belonged to a Texas fan? ;)

Poli 08-28-2006 03:32 AM

Shush you.

Eaglesfan27 08-28-2006 10:03 AM

Most thyroid problems are relatively easily treatable once they are identified. You might need to take medicine regularly for a long time, but once they get your medicine at the right dosage, you at least shouldn't feel long term ill effects. Good luck with the early discharge.

Surtt 08-28-2006 10:52 AM

I have had a thyroid problem for 15 years, you take a pill once a day and get a blood test every year to confirm the dosage. The meds are only $15 or so a month. Like EaglesFan27 said, It really isn't a big deal.

Poli 09-18-2006 04:59 AM

Bump. I get another blood test sometime this week. They'll adjust my meds accordingly.

Poli 01-01-2007 10:30 PM

Bump, updated.

I didn't get my ultrasound before I left Africa, so I'll probably get one sometime this month in Chicago.

The Navy is gonna miss you, but I'm not so sure you're gonna miss the Navy. :)

Poli 02-01-2007 10:20 PM

Beginning of the month bump.

mauchow 02-01-2007 10:58 PM

I thought the title read, Things I know for sure: Ardent's a virgin.

Anyhow, good stuff.

KevinNU7 02-02-2007 06:54 AM

Are you heading back for your last few months or are you stationed in the US to finish out?

Poli 02-02-2007 10:04 AM

I'm here in the States for good, thankfully.

Poli 03-20-2007 03:40 PM
