Problem with MLB 2K6
 

Has anybody else had problems with MLB 2K6 freezing? Every time I make a play at first base, the damn thing freezes. Did anyone else have this problem and, if so, how did they deal with it?

I never played it, but I remember reading that freezes were quite frequent and that there was supposed to be a patch released to help that issue.

there is/was a patch on the 360 about 2-3 months back - but it stopped the freezing on "loading" after franchise games which ALL of the 2k 360 games did - sadly this was the only one they patched.

As much as I am disappointed in EA - 2K really stuck it to customers on the 360 this year.

So its just a completely broken game? That really sucks, since it seems pretty fun.

actually mine has worked fine once the patch came out, NBA and NHL well that is another story...

How do you get the patch?

NBA2k6 has never frozen for me on the 360. College Hoops hasn't either and I've put many hours in with each of them.

I never tried MLB though.

If your 360 is connected to XBox Live, the system should prompt you to download the patch when you start up the game. If you're not on XBox Live, I suggest signing up for XBox Live Silver (which is free) if you have a high-speed connection. If you're on dialup, I don't know of a way for you to get the patch.
