xbox 360 wireless controller question
 

Does the wireless controller need line of sight to work with the xbox 360? In my media room, I'm thinking about putting the Xbox 360 beside my seating close to the projector but then I wouldn't be facing the console with the controller. In the setup I'm thinking about, when in use the console would be a couple feet behind my front chairs and between them on a low table.

I don't think it needs to be in the line of sight because I remember bringing my controller to a friends house and going to the kitchenand still being able to pause despite the was a wall blocking the control. Excuse my grammar

It's 2.4 ghz, not IR, so no, you don't need line of sight.

Cool. That's what I figured, but couldn't find it listed.

Use GOOD batteries. I was wondering why my players were sluggish.. control wise - had some Ray-o-vacs in there. :)

Anyone ever notice that their wireless controllers are still 'somewhat' on, despite having done a shut down via the guide button on their controller? :confused:

Maybe it's just me, but there's a very faint green circle around my wireless controller's guide button that sometimes won't go away, until I unplug the rechargeable battery pack, and plug it back into the controller.

Yeah, I've noticed that too. My batteries will drain in a few days even if I'm not playing.

Todd, I've noticed a huge difference in controller response when the batteries are fully charged vs when they are weaker.

I use Energizer re-chargable. They work well and I don't see response drop off until after the controller starts the rotating green circle "low battery" warning. If I am playing the machine a lot, the batteries still last a good week before I have to recharge.

I've been in the pisser when I kicked a field goal in Madden once.

That could have been my issue with NCAA, but Oblivion played just fine.?
