NBA All Star Game

Anyone watch the game. I thought it was a fun game to watch, it's too bad the NBa isn't allways like that. It was nice to watch a game without someone complaining about a call or acting like a baby. I think the players showcased the game well.

No, I just go down to East LA if I want to watch a bunch of thugs. :D

Great game. Greatgreatgreat.

Mixed feeling about the ending. I'm a Rockets fan and was rooting for the West, but would have loved to have seen MJ's shot win the game. That was just a great shot from a great player...

F*cking Jermaine O'neal

Blech..it was o.k...too much of a love in though

Rich1033 02-10-2003 01:37 AM

It wasnt the best game, but it was very entertaining. I was disappointed that the game didnt end on Jordan's shot in OT.

ACStrider 02-10-2003 02:54 AM

I remember when Jermaine O'Neal entered into the NBA. Do you know why he went straight from high school? It wasn't because he was super-highly recruited by NBA teams. Yes, NBA teams were interested in him, but his original intention was to go to college first. The deciding factor...ACT score. He got an 18 or a 16 or something REALLY low...so low that even your joe blow state school wouldn't accept you. From that point the NBA was his only option...unless he wanted to play amature or be a 6'10'' burger-flipper.

If I remember correctly, that was the reason Garnett went straight to the NBA as well. I vaguely remember reading something where he was quoted as having said that he would've gone to college if he would've qualified for a 4-year school.

MJ is god ! I have poof !

Blackadar 02-10-2003 06:25 AM

I didn't watch it, but if the NBA were more like the All-Star game, I may be tempted to get back into the Pro game.

It was a good quality game. Kevin Garnett is awesome!

Several players showed off their skills, it was an enjoyable game to watch.

Those introductions were so stupid. I can't even put into words how moronic it looked.

Believe it or not, Kevin Garnett is a sharp tack. Watching interviews with him he is very well-spoken and goes out of his way a great deal for fans. He is turning into my favorite NBA player next to Finley, Nash and Nowitski.

Daimyo 02-10-2003 10:31 AM

The All-Star game would have been great if not for everyone trying to make Jordan MVP. He was terrible early on (even missing two dunks I believe), but they kept having him shoot. Also at the end of the first regulation that play should have bee drawn up for someone like McGrady who can still play. Had it been based on merot, Jordan shouldn't have even been selected for the game.

An All-Star game, based on merit?? That's just laughable! ;)

i actually loathed the little bit I watched, it was just Jordan shooting for the last quarter. I was pissed off that Isiah did not give his other bench players more playing time. Im glad the west won because they played better team basketball.

Wait a minute...am I noticing a pattern here or is just a coincidence that your favorite three players just "happen" to play for the Mavs. ;)
