So I uh, bought that Lego Star Wars game today

I want games that are fun and entertaining. NHLPA 93 style. Airborne Ranger style.

I hope this fits the bill.

tanglewood 09-13-2006 09:12 PM

I bet it's a big pile of poo. Glorified kiddy game that's not worth anything if you ask me.

kingnebwsu 09-13-2006 09:14 PM

The first one was a very simplified game that's fun for casual gamers, kids, or gamers with significant others who don't play much. It was a good game for me and the girlfriend to play together.

Ramzavail 09-13-2006 10:36 PM

Im sure its awesome, the first one was.

SackAttack 09-14-2006 03:05 AM

Havin' a good time with it, but good luck trying to unlock everything on one play-through.

have you tried the first one to say that?

Not saying it's the best game ever, but to say it's a big pile of poo, well that'd be a stretch...

My son got this last night and we played co-op. It is a lot of fun. I think I will have to go out and get the first one now.

Nothing like making a judgement on something you haven't even tried.

I think quite a few people missed the joke. Last night, there was a duplicate thread. Tanglewood posted one post that was praising the game in the duplicate thread and also this post in this thread.

Oilers9911 09-14-2006 09:22 AM

I bet the third thread on this Lego Star Wars game will be a big pile of goo.

MikeVic 09-14-2006 09:26 AM

I rented it and played the first level in Episode IV with my girlfriend. It was really fun! The characters walk around so funny.

I predict rexallllsc and most people impressions on lego star war will be great.

When you have your heart set on a game fopr awhile, its very hard to turn away and have any negative impressions once you put down money on the purchase.

Its human nature to defend the game and have any negative toughts after playing it.

mrsimperless 09-14-2006 09:49 AM

I've actually been planning on buying this. I want to get a life too, but thats lower down on the priority list than Lego Star Wars. Seriously.

Pumpy Tudors 09-14-2006 09:50 AM

You guys making big mistake buying Lego Star War 2. It same AI bugs over and over again and if they dont fix the logic then new version dont mean anything

Havent you learn anything from Madden NCAA Head Coach and Atari 2600 ET game?

Darth Vader get way too many pancakes

Puresim the better game this year

Don't even think about it. You only have ONE concern at the moment that isn't family related.

Now get back into the dungeon and continue your work on FM.

Thats WHY I'm going to get it - my family haven't seen much at all of me in recent weeks (especially this version as both the PSP and PC games are in final throes of development at the same time) .... I always try to find a decent game to play with my kids post-gm* so they can remember who I am when I finally return home ;)

*No clues on release dates I'm afraid - we're still going, but the end is in sight, thats as much as I can say ;)

Atari 2600 ET game? ROTFLMAO!!!! :D

Pumpy Tudors 09-14-2006 02:44 PM

I only have Lego Star Wars 2 on rental, but every time I play, I'm going to watch for Darth Vader pancaking somebody. He appears very early in the game, and he already pancaked two guys, and now his ratings are THROUGH THE ROOF.

My gamecube was apparently a victim to my recent move, so I'll be holding off getting this bad boy for a few months, until the Wii comes out. I called gamespot today, and they should be taking preorders soon.

Desnudo 09-16-2006 03:20 PM

Does anyone know what it means when there's a purple-ish glow around an object? Not the force glow. Thanks.

rexallllsc 09-17-2006 02:05 AM

the jbmagic posts have me rolling.

I felt really bad after walking home to play the game, and seeing my SIX YEAR OLD NEIGHBOR playing it in his living room. Doh.

kcchief19 09-17-2006 08:02 AM

Playing the ET video game card is throwing it down old school. Pwned!

I don't know about purplish glow, but if it's kind of reddish, that's the Dark Side.

Desnudo 09-17-2006 11:27 AM

That would probably be it, thanks.

rexallllsc 09-19-2006 06:01 PM

It's been hard for me to get into this game. I almost feel like I don't "get it"
