Mattresses - Looking for Suggestions/Comments
We're looking at getting a new Queen mattress or "bed system." Specifically, we've heard good things about Therapedic and Sleep Number, so I'm interested in hearing some comments about these or other mattresses we should be looking at. Thanks.

Serta perfect sleeper. GREATEST. MATRESS. EVER. When we have relatives over and allow them the pleasure of sleeping in our King size Serta PS, they always say, "What kind of matress is that?" |
Temperpedic are the best I've had by a pretty large margin (although I have also heard good things about sleep number beds but never owned one).

Check out the Lumbaryard.

My suggestion? Don't remove the tag under penalty of law.

Generally the most expensive line from any given manufacturer is going to be a pretty darn nice mattress. Things that I consider important, warranty (15 or 20 years) and the strength of the "side wall"(not the right term, but does it support you when you sit on the edge?), See what the recommendations regarding turning/rotating/flipping the mattress on a quarterly basis. A lot of mattresses have now done away with anything more than rotating the mattress once or twice a year, this would be preferred. At least that is what I prefer.

I have the tempurpedic HOWEVER mine is not the new kind with the better breathing top therefore it can get hot on it in the summer if I dont have the A/C and fan on. It is a FIRM mattress which you wouldnt think when they show you sink into it but it is. The first few nights of sleeping on it were kind of wierd but now it's great. Almost all of my back issues are 50% better than when I had the earlier matresses.
