An FOFC first?
FOFC first? Maybe, maybe not, but I have never seen a post on this subject before, so I am taking credit...
Yesterday, Sept 28th, I became a grandfather. 8 pounds. Shaun Michael. I'm not quite 50 yet, but I have daughters older than some of you. Maybe it's time I thought about quitting all this computer game playing and started doing something constructive? Or not. |
Congratulations!

Congratulations! I'm sure it is an incredible feeling. I'll be 54 this November, but don't have any grandchildren yet and probably still a few years away (my children are 19, 17 and 15). But my cousin, who is my age, got married earlier and has grandchildren. He tells me it is a fantastic experience.
I've often wondered how many other folks my age are still playing these games, and it sounds like there are a number of us. So I'm not quite as "odd" as I thought. In fact, just yesterday I told my wife the other day that I envision still playing these games after I'm retired in 8-10 years. She's accepting of it, but still thinks its rather strange. |
