WTF is FOF telling me I need 7 active backfield players?
 

I have 3 QBs, 4 RBs (6 after I sign two to make the fucking nag thing go away), and 3 FBs.

All of them are active. Even if it's just RB and FB I now have 9 actives. What the hell is going on?

I think I ran into this before and then I had the computer handle it.. and it proceeded to fuck up my team so I went back to the prior save game.

I don't remember how the error message is phrased in-game -- but any chance it's requiring seven defensive backfield members?

Yah.

RB/FB: "You need at least 4 backfield members active on your roster."
CB/S: "You need at least 7 secondary players active on your roster."

Perhaps a licensing error of some sort. The dreaded "game will behave unpredictably" poroblem?

Did you re-install recently or something of the sort?

Nope, no recent re-installs.

And yep you're right, it turned out to be the defensive backfield.

Talk about misleading!
