Cuervo's Misc FOF Stuff
There may not be very many things that I add here (really don't know yet), but I figured I'd make my own thread rather than clutter up Icy's.
Anyway, here is my redo of the ratings set. ![]() It's #300 in reshacker. |
Looking nice!
|
Beautiful! Can you do #305 and #323 as well?
|
Yep, I'll probably try #302 as well.
(might even try variations on 293) |
Thank you!
|
What exactly are these for?
|
Quote:
Modifying the looks of the FOF2007 interface. |
These in particular modify the current and future #'s and I just tested them out. Soooo much cleaner if you're asking.
|
Quote:
Yeah, i'm not crazy about the change. |
Yeah, these are basically just rolling back the images to the old look, with a few minor color tweaks. Because generally I fear change.
|
Very nice-looking Cuervo! Thanks.
|
Very nice!

What is 293 in-game? edit: looks like the top border... n/m |
Bless you, Cuervo...

Yeah, that too. I can't help but say that the changes made to these graphics were for the worse. |
Simple copy and past from Jim's old position image (which is still in the game, btw).
![]() I'm going to do a copy of this with colors closer to what is in-game currently (though a little more distinct/bright). |
Version with "non-traditional" color tweaks.
![]() |
Nice job cuervo! i like the "non-traditional" ones a lot.

Very nice! I'm going to try this one. |
Do you have to make this changes with reshacker or can you just copy and paste these images into the picture folder..??

Reshacker. |
Some nice-looking stuff, cuervo.
|
When I logged on, one of my first stops was to see if you got around to this. Much appreciated. Thank you!

I guess redoing the jersey #'s and experience would be a bit more difficult. |
Quote:
No, not really, I just haven't done it yet. |
Cuervo - any plans to make a dumby's guide to doing this?
I'm guessing it's easy and I just need to get off my lazy butt, d/l a reshacker and take a look, but... |
reshacker is fairly easy to use, if cuervo is too busy I could produce something tonight...
|
Yeah, it's really not difficult to figure out, all you need to do is find the right bitmap and then go to action->replace bitmap, then select the new one you want to swap in (and then save).
Anyway, for the uniforms. I'm doing one for the old set, but in the meantime if all you really want are the current numbers but without the "sleeves", just swap this into #306: ![]() This will do it w/o needing to replace 305. |

I'm working on a patcher that will do this automatically for you, plus make it easy to update when a new FOF2k7 patch is released. Stay tuned... |

Muchos Gracias. |

Very nice! |

Indeed!!!! |

ah, sweet. definitely putting the old tags back in. im not a fan of the pastels. |
This is great. Thanks!
Funny thing....right when I fired up the game I thought of this. The new look made me dizzy. |
fwiw, I think I'm really in the "feer change" aspect more than anything particularly wrong with the current design.

I don't fear change, I fear not having a choice. :) |
Player numbers under the old style.
- #306 - #305 |
Thank you.

Thank you

Ok, here's an attempt at the game buttons.
They're not perfect (nor quite complete for the options beyond those used by the teams), as for the rectangular buttons there is no mask used, and thus no easy way (at least that I could tell) of making any part of the image transparent. So I had to color match with the colors for the team backgrounds to get the desired design. The highlighted button appears on all the schemes, so it will look a little larger. Also, this will make it not as nice if you like to mix and match button schemes. For the rounded buttons, there *is* a mask, but it just works on the ends. It won't matter on the team pages, but you'll notice it on the 'simulation window' button. Here is the bitmap, which should sub in for both 290 and 292: http://www.fof-ihof.com/upload/cuervo72/2921033edit.bmp Here is the mask, used in slot 291: http://www.fof-ihof.com/upload/cuervo72/2911033edit.bmp Here are a couple of screenshots. ![]() ![]() Some of the teams could be better. I'm tempted to redo the in-game color schemes (PIT...should be black instead of that gray, imo), but I have other things I can be doing. |
Dola - I have to give Simms credit here for giving me the inspiration for the "extended lines" look (had started working on this w/o them, but it looked plainer).
|
Bump for the daytime crowd.
|
Looks good cuervo, awesome job giving fof it's prior look :)
|
Now, what to do about those pesky experience tags. I admit my ability to update it was poor at best, but what do ya'll think about the color coding in this scheme?
![]() ![]() red = for rookies white = normal gray = for old guys |
I think there are some examples of the experience icons being redone, but I do like the rookie icon that you made.
Cuervo thanks again for the changes, the buttons look so much better. |
An update. Still not great, but better.
-#323 -#325red = for rookies gray = normal blue = for old guys |
Thanks Dutch.
|
Dutch, considering the aging factor in this version, I'm thinking maybe the blue colored "old guy" numbers should start at year 10 or so.. Just a thought-
I think it would also be cool if you could do 3 colors for that, maybe developmental years, prime years, and past prime decline years. 1-4, 5-8, 9+? Everybody doing this stuff to make this game even better by way of improving it aesthetically is doing us all a favor- I appreciate it. |
