Ping: Poker Peanut Gallery

For those that may be interested. We are down to 24 players in a $10 180 man tourney (not a big tourney I realize). The money is at 18 and I am the chip leader by about 15k chips.

It's tournament 35964169 and I am at table 17.

cartman 11-15-2006 10:44 PM

I'm guessing this is PokerStars?

It appears that this week they completely revamped their tourney schedule.

Yeah sorry forgot to mention it was at Stars.

primelord 11-15-2006 10:47 PM

Heh I am 2nd in chips now. The previous #3 doubled through #4. :)

primelord 11-15-2006 10:57 PM

Ok we are in the money now. I am sitting on 39k in chips and the chip lead again. Blinds are at 400/800 with a 50 ante so I have an M of about 23 which isn't bad for this stage of the tourney.

Yep, considering the bottom six have Ms of 5 or less

primelord 11-15-2006 10:59 PM

Just hit a set of As after getting in pre with a shorter stack to get to 47k

cartman 11-15-2006 11:03 PM

Good thing that guy was short stacked. Prime had pocket Ks against pocket 4s, and the other guy catches a set. Only cost him around $3K. But he gets it back and then some on the next hand.

primelord 11-15-2006 11:04 PM

Yeah the next hand I had T8o and after a limper a guy pushed for like 1500 more. I was getting almost 3 to one on my money so I called. Hit a T on the flop and the 3rd guy and I checked it down and my hand held up. I am sitting at 50k now

timmae 11-15-2006 11:05 PM

figures, eh? 10's hold up while cowboys didn't...

wade moore 11-15-2006 11:05 PM

I love following these things here since I don't have accounts on any of these things.

timmae 11-15-2006 11:06 PM

almost double 2nd place with 15 left!

I have been fortunate tonight. I have had big pairs cracked 3 times tonight, but each time it was by a short stack.

primelord 11-15-2006 11:08 PM

Ok blinds up to 600/1200 with a 75 ante. I have an M of about 21 now. They are going to start dropping fast now I would imagine.

primelord 11-15-2006 11:09 PM

No on else at my table has an M over 8.

primelord 11-15-2006 11:13 PM

Lot of limping at the table suddenly. Which is the complete wrong thing to do when they are all so short stacked.

primelord 11-15-2006 11:14 PM

Unfortunately I am card dead at the moment and can't exploit it :)

They are afraid you'll bust them.

primelord 11-15-2006 11:15 PM

For those watching my table surfking is absolutely horrific. He was an early chip leader. I played with him the first hour. He built up a big stack on several suck outs and then doubled me up when I got AA. :)

timmae 11-15-2006 11:16 PM

a few stabs here and there but not much action..

Yeah I feel like I am playing way too passively given I am the big stack, but I have had just a run of unsuited shit for the last 15 min

cartman 11-15-2006 11:20 PM

d'oh. AKs vs. JJ. He gets two of his suit on the flop, but doesn't get another, or AK. Still chiplead, but only by 100

primelord 11-15-2006 11:20 PM

Ugh just lost a big hand. AKs SB called my raise. Flop came Q high with two of my suit and the SB pushed for about 10k more. I was getting about 1.8:1 to call with two overs and a flush draw. Easy call, but I didn;t get there and his JJ held. Still barely the chip leader.

timmae 11-15-2006 11:21 PM

felt for him there... sucks.. whatcha gonna do I guess.

primelord 11-15-2006 11:22 PM

My theory of them dropping quickly is not coming to fruition. We have been at 13 for ever it seems.

There are enough people within 50% of each other, that they aren't going to risk it calling an all-in from a shorter stack.

cartman 11-15-2006 11:25 PM

he's gone back up to about a 10K chip lead by collecting some unchallenged raises

timmae 11-15-2006 11:26 PM

a few of the boys are starting to get very low again...

Yeah it is unfortunate too. I am the chip leader and my M is just above 11. They can't possible last that much longer.

cartman 11-15-2006 11:28 PM

Ouch, that sucks. AA gets cracked by set of 7s.

:(

timmae 11-15-2006 11:28 PM

ekkk!!!

primelord 11-15-2006 11:28 PM

Just lost over half my stack when AA got cracked by 77.

timmae 11-15-2006 11:29 PM

turn, river, booyah

cartman 11-15-2006 11:29 PM

but he gets it right back from the guy when his A8 vs. 44 gets two 8s on the board

primelord 11-15-2006 11:29 PM

Heh and then I doubled up on the same guy when my A8 beats his 44. :)

primelord 11-15-2006 11:33 PM

Ugh stealer keeps raising every time I have a hand like J8s and I want to raise it.

timmae 11-15-2006 11:33 PM

still 3rd in chips, 42-then 39-then 30,000 for 3rd.

wade moore 11-15-2006 11:33 PM

Is there an echo in here?

;)

primelord 11-15-2006 11:35 PM

Damn him. When I have 62o he folds. When I have KJo he raises. :)

timmae 11-15-2006 11:35 PM

still have that table lead...

timmae 11-15-2006 11:37 PM

hanging in their bro...

primelord 11-15-2006 11:38 PM

Ok we are at the 3rd break. 2 people away from the final table. I nhave 30k in chips and I am in 3rd. After the break though my M will be 8. So really I am going to have to get lucky now.

timmae 11-15-2006 11:39 PM

seabass jumped up to 80k right before the break... wonder how that went down.

He took a ton from whoever was #2 because I am 2nd in chips not 3rd. :)

timmae 11-15-2006 11:44 PM

sweet, a-6 holds over a-4

primelord 11-15-2006 11:44 PM

My A6s holds up over A4s and we are down to 10 and I am at 41k

primelord 11-15-2006 11:46 PM

Woot. Final table.

cartman 11-15-2006 11:46 PM

woot! Final table. He's 3rd in chips

cartman 11-15-2006 11:47 PM

and in good table position. He's the button, so hopefully a few guys will be gone by the time the blinds come back around

timmae 11-15-2006 11:47 PM

break a leg!! 2nd in chips at your right!!
