Probably a mindless poll.

None of those would be my choice:

I *might* buy it next year or the year after that depending upon the quality of games, if/when a price drop occurs, and how the Blu-Ray/HD-DVD battle is shaping up. I picked the 4th choice since it is the most likely at this point.

Yeah, I forgot the maybe/might option, oh well.

I already know I'm getting an Xbox 360 this year from the girlfriend, so no.

I'm getting a PS2

I'm not option 1, although I'm getting one. I went for the ebay option.

I had a hard time deciding between the "trout" and "never" options, but decided that since I don't like cleaning fish, I probably wouldn't go the fishing route, so "never" was the right answer.

There is already a large group of people in tents at the local Best Buy, and we're getting hammered with a storm here too (idiots ;)).

Option 4. I'll definitely have one by the time NCAA 08 comes out, and maybe early if there is a game that really appeals to me out before then.

Why would anyone want a PS3 if they already have a xbox 360?

There are games that come out on only one console. And since I'm a Final Fantasy junkie, that means I will have to get the PS3 at some point.

Now, if a ton of great, PS3 only games come out, I could change my mind and buy one first quarter of next year. If there are no system seller type games, I'm not sure how long it'll be before I purchase one. I chose option four, because I likely will buy the PS3 sometime next year, but it is not a given by any stretch.

FWIW, if you'd asked me this question just a tad over a year ago (right before the 360 came out), my answer would have been, "I'm buying this on opening day if I have to buy a 1k bundle. It'll be mine no matter what" Funny how things can change so quickly.

I am guess getting the PS3 is good deal if you have a hdtv too. Much cheaper than getting a $1000 dollar blue ray hd player.

I'm not a FF junkie, although I enjoy the series. But, if I got a PS3 the #1 reason would be for exclusives that I enjoy. Sports games (if they actually look/play better) and the Blu-Ray Movie Player would be other factors.

I'll wait for a price drop. I'm happy with my 360 for now.

I bowled for 24 hours straight back in March. It was a piece of cake. There's no doubt I could play video games for 24 hours.
