Ping: Memphis Tigers basketball

Wake the hell up, OK? This second half hasn't been very pretty...

We are not good this year. We were much better last year. I would be surprised if we made the tourney this year.

Who else in weak-ass Conference USA is going to upend them?

We will go to the tournament, but we got exposed tonight Pumpy. Teams know how to play us. We are weak on the inside.

Marquette, Louisville, Cincinatti. Come on, man. CUSA is the bomb.

If anyone, UH.

I would defend the conference if I could, but it's really gonna be a down year in CUSA hoops...

Au contraire.

It was a freakin' thing of beauty.

:D

Two completely different halves of ball in this game. Nice comeback by G-Tech though.

watravaler 11-21-2006 10:02 PM

WTF is Calipari doing? Sure as hell isn't coaching these guys, one on one/street ball is all the rage I guess...

miami_fan 11-21-2006 10:11 PM

To paraphrase what he said during an interview in the first half "I show prospective recruits a wide open style of play and they are drawn to it." He has changed his offensive style to appeal to what recruits want to play.

Hey, I got quoted in a signature! Granted, it was a horrific sports prediction, but I'll take it.

BTW, Ragone, Dayton-Louisville Friday night.... Dayton by 15. There's another one for the signature.

I think they'll get better as the year goes on. They have solid players, they just need to learn not to rush things against a zone defense.

That might actually happen.. Louisville is decimated by injuries :)
