First Helping of Dinner at Noon:
3 nice slices of turkey About a dozen tater tots. A small helping of amazing macaroni and cheese that the wife makes from scratch practically. Has 3 different exotic cheeses. Some Green Beans. Two dinner rolls A piece of Pumpkin Pie. Second helping of dinner around 7:00 PM: More turkey! More Mac and Cheese (exotic style) Another dinner roll Some stuffing - Shrimp and Oyster Rum Bread Pudding covered in good rum sauce that the wife made from scratch. I'm done but looking forward to Turkey sandwiches tomorrow. This was my wife's first time cooking and I swear she made the best turkey I've ever had. She brined it first and it was super juicy. :) |

Everytime I read a thread like this, I realize how shitty my family cooks.
|
Went to my dad's side of the family and had turkey, corn, mashed potatoes & gravy, sweet potatoes, a roll, salad, olives, and some type of raspberry-cherry jello mixture thing.
Then I came home and ate some weird combos: melted cheese on triscuits, topped off with apple pie and ice cream. |

Yeah, that's how it is with us too. It's not that the food is bad (and of course at this time of year, we're thankful to have the food), it's that my mouth waters with some of the cool stuff being described here. |
