Fantasy Football: An Unenviable Decision
Alright, I need this victory to make the playoffs...so any help is appreciated. I can start only one of the following three at Quarterback:
J.P. Losman at NY Jets David Carr vs. Tenn. Rex Grossman at St. Louis There are no other options. I was leaning toward Grossman since there are rumors Griese will replace him and zero points would be an improvement for him. ;) Ok, so which of the above would you start? Thanks! |
Man....no wonder you're fighting for a playoff spot instead of being in already! I think you have to start Losman. Tenn made Manning look unspectacular and is a different team right now. St. Louis' secondary is pretty bad but not bad enough to make Grossman look good.
|
Yeah, I know, my QB play has been terrible. If I had simply forgotten to start someone at QB instead of Grossman, I'd actually have two more wins and a playoff spot wrapped up.
Currently, Losman is my starter, but I'm worried about the Jet's D in the Meadowlands. |
None of your matchups are all that appealing. I'd start Carr before Grossman though.
|
Tough choice, I'd go with Grossman simply for the fact that if I say that, MAYBE the Rams D will actually stop someone Monday night. Also, I think this game is a MUST for Grossman to play well.
|
Well I think Losman is the worst option of the 3. The Jets pass defense has been much better lately. So between Grossman and Carr I would probably throw up in my mouth a bit and go with Carr. Andre Johnson is capable of lighting Pacman up. Even if Grossman could put up a good day, the Rams run D is awful and I think the Bears will be looking to keep it on the ground this week. So Carr is probably the best option in a pretty nasty group.
|
Go with Drew Bledsoe, he will lead you to the playoffs and most likely your league championship. 350 and 5 in the bank.
|
Grossman, for the most part, has destroyed bad defenses, although you can't help but think his last 3 games could be a trend...
|
Glad we could help out by reaching a consensous for you!
|
Wow. Somebody actually has Jeff Garcia, Joey Harrington, Matt Leinert, Alex Smith, & Jason Campbell? Not that these guys are great but I would start any of them over the three choices you threw out there. How deep is your league 20 guys?
I think you have to go with Carr though. Tennessee somehow keeps on pulling out wins, but their defense is still awful. Carr should be good for 7-10 points. |
Panerd,
Yes, all of the above are taken with the exception of Jason Campbell. Jay Cutler has also become available. Right now, I'm debating b/w Losman, Carr or Campbell. |
Dola
The league is only 10 deep. Apparently, some people have stockpiled QB's. |
I just picked up Trent Green in our FF league. (also 10 deep)
|
Did anyone pick up Chris Weinke for today's game?

Who did you end up starting?
|
Well, I ended up starting Losman after all. He did a pretty good job. Unfortunately, my opponent had LT...'nuff said.
The only way I get in to the playoffs is if I win a few tiebreakers (it's a longshot)...so we shall see after tomm. night. Thanks again for the help! |
I was hoping you went with Losman after seeing he played decently. I have Tomlinson and Brees in my league. Week after week one of them carries me. This week, they both did. 8 TD's between the two.

Should have told us that right away and we could have told you 'Doesn't matter' right away and been done with it... :D |

I picked LT third in the league I am in and owners 1 & 2 actually bitch that it is unfair because LT is my whole team. I didn't tell them to pick Alexander and I sure as hell didn't tell them to take Larry Johnson.
|
I get the same panerd. I got him 3rd after LJ and Alexander. Then they want me to feel bad. What's funny is I wanted him 3rd out of those 3 guys. Never again will I doubt him.
