Tekken 5 released as digital download in Japan for $17 (PS3)
 

As the article says, this is going to put Microsoft into a position where they may have to consider increasing the download limit on their console. Tekken 5 will weigh in at 830 MB and is expected to be released in North America soon.

the problem is that increasing the download size runs the risk of dwarfing the independent developers - and they're the folks Live Arcade was originally intended for.

They're in a tight spot, and doing anything could squeeze the small developers to whom they're catering.

Interesting point. Hadn't considered the indie developers. I'd hate to see them squeezed out of either market. The PC proves that there is still a market for good indie games.
