Question about playcalling

i have been using the dallas cowboys for 3 years now, and i call all my plays for every game. But for 3 years ow im getting beat and missing the playoffs bigtime.

Any tips on playcalling, like what to call for different situations and such? Especialy on defence play calling

Hire a head coach excellent or VG in playcalling and let the computer call the plays. The computer does a good job calling plays based on your personel.

I handle everything in the game including depth charts. The only thing I let the computer handle is the playcalling. It's too much work.

ok but if i let the computer call the plays then dont i have to set up some sort of play calling graf with the % of what plays are called? or will it just be random calls?

Also im playing on the level walstreet, dont know if that makes a difference. Mayb e its just that dallas dont have many great players lol

Anyone ever do good on this level and calling the plays?

You set up tendencies in the play calling menus. For example run 60% of the time on first and 8-10 yards.

1) Run on passing downs, pass on running downs.
2) Don't call the same play twice.
3) Don't be afraid to run on 3rd and Long.
4) Draws, traps and counters seem to be more successful when the computer thinks you are going to pass and/or blitzes.
5) Study your players strengths and weaknesses: don't throw on 3rd down to a receiver that sucks on 3rd down passing, don't throw deep to a player that sucks on deep balls, don't run on 3rd down with a RB that sucks on 3rd down running, etc.
6) Study your opponents weaknesses: If their DBs suck at zone defense, then run curls (which puts your receiver in the middle of a zone). If a corner sucks at man-to-man you can usually have success bombing deep on them.
7) A couple times a game throw the bomb on a running down from a running formation.
8) Watch for injuries in-game. If a key player for your opponent goes down, exploit that hole.
9) Run your RB into holes that are well blocked by your good RB OL.
10) Blitz your LBs against OL that suck at pass blocking and avoid blitzing them into OL that are great at pass blocking. Don't blitz LBs that suck at blitzing.
11) Mix shit up.

I don't call plays on defense because no matter what I do on defense I suck. But by calling plays on offense I usually do much better than the computer does itself. My offense usually ranks in the top 10 of most categories.
