Training Camp Roster
I just realized that you can have more than 60 players on your roster when you run training camp, but must be at 60 for your first exhibition game. Is there any player devleopment impact to have more than 60 players in training camp?

I didnt know that either how many can you have? in the NFL it is 80 maybe it is worth signing every high volatile rookie available and see if one or more does well in camp.

Signing 80 pre-camp might be fun, but you'll then have to cut 20 of them prior to the first exhibition game. I would think that that's boring, but if you like it..... |
There's a limit of 70.

SD, I just had 75 in training camp. I had to cut 15 after but not sure if the limit is 75 or more.

I did not know that about 2k7. Guess, I can do away with my house rule. |

Or maybe not. :) Edit: I just did a quick test with 103 players on my roster, they all went into training camp just fine, so back to my house rule. |
That's weird. When I get up to 70, it says I can't sign anyone else.

I just checked again, I did sign a bunch of Undrafted FA after the draft and did take 75 into training camp. I don't know why you can't. And twothree above said he took 103 into camp.

I figured it out. The limit is 70 if you sign the players after the FA period, but there is no limit if you sign the players during the FA period and then keep them on your roster. The game does not force you to cut down to 70 at the end of the late FA stage, that might be a bug. |
