Is It Patched?
 

Is this game completely patched up or are there more coming?
want to buy the finished product only.

As far as has been indicated it is fully patched.

You may be painting yourself into a bit of a box here. Solecismic has a longstanding reputation of offering a long series of patches, often long past the point of perfectly good playability, to continue to tweak and improve things as minor issues arise. FOF 2004 was patched months and months after release -- waiting until the aboslutely final version wouudl have meant missing out on an awful lot of its lifespan.

From what I have read here, and seen myself, this game is completely playable as it is, even if there might be another patch or more somewhere down the road as other issues might come up.

I think Jim said the last patch was the final patch until he is moved and settled into his new house. I would expect at least one more down the road sometime.

The real question is - is FOF2k7 a $40 upgrade over FOF2k4?

In my opinion, easily. I've gotten WELL over $40 worth of enjoyment out of this puppy already, and I feel like I'm just getting started.

IMO, it's definitely worth the upgrade.

No doubt about it. Once my new pc gets here, I'm going to start in 1971 and really get deep into a historical career.

For most other game companies it would be considered a finished product and wouldn't be patched again. The fact that it probably will be patched again makes it all the more worthwhile getting it.

I would think there may be a future patch, especially if MP uncovers any holes in the game. For instance the 25+ sack seasons in 2004 that were quickly patched.
