Anybody used Mushkin for a RAM purchase?
So, I wanted to upgrade my RAM for Vista. I looked all over and got 2 1GB chips from Mushkin. I ordered it on the evening of the 24th and got a confirmation email. It seems on the 25th they charged my account, but I never received a shipping email. So today, I tried calling, but no one was there. I left a couple messages and also left an email. No reply today.
Anyone else buy RAM from Mushkin.com? Is this normal procedure? They just take your money and then the RAM appears on your doorstep without any shipping emails sent? I know they have a forum, but I don't want to be the whiny loser asking "where is my RAM!!1!". Well, not until Tuesday at any rate ;). |
I've never purchased directly from the manufacturer, either. I usually just snag stuff from NewEgg.

Actually I hold them in very high regard. I've used them a number of times. They have an Excellent website for troubleshooting, if things don't go as planned. They were also the first company I saw using the reusable inflatable shipping materials for RAM. That isn't all that impressive a thing, but I still remember how cool that was when I first saw it.

Yeah, I've heard of that too :D. All I want though is just someone to tell me if the product has shipped and the shipping number. Though I also have heard people having problems with them responding to you (and sometimes the product arrives unexpectedly). I'm hoping that's my case. If its been sold out and they didn't tell me, I'll be unhappy. |
