I've been up to 145K, although there seems to be a significant luck factor.

Highest score I've seen mentioned elsewhere was about 190K or so.

After playing it twice, it appears one can approach this game like a Rubik's Cube. In other words, go for the four corners by eliminating the odd corners out (no matter how small of a square you need to make) until you get four of the same color. Repeat.

I came to same conclusion... and my scores have been going downhill ever since.
