MTW:I Need some HELP!
 

When i play as the danish i take my vikings in the early stages and have great success. I play egypt and i do ok with nubiean spearmen until i can upgrade. I try playing england and i get urban milita and get squashed unless i autocalc. Here is my problem i can win battles with autocalc but i command them manually and i win so i need any and all tips...What units should a build to? How fast should i be expanding? I normally attack starting my first or second turn am i not patient enough? I know how to govern and get good guys running the show but i need help with battles lots and lots of help! I want to do something besides get crushed using something besides the danes.

There's a lot of tactics in MTW on the combat side. If you started playing (like I did) on the easy level, you'll get your ass kicked when you move up until you learn what your units are best at and keeping them in that role.

On the easier level, you can sort of freelance with your units, especially calvary and spearmen. Light calvary is an adequate sub for infantry and heavy calvary, etc. When you move up levels, they'll get decimated quickly.
