If Paris Hilton falls down in the woods and the AP does not report it . . .

. . . is she still a slutty attention whore?

None of the thousands of media outlets that depend on AP called in asking for a Paris Hilton story. No one felt a newsworthy event had been ignored. (To be fair, nothing too out-of-the-ordinary happened in the Hilton universe.)

So let me get this straight...the AP ignored Paris Hilton for exactly one week, during which time nothing newsworthy happened and no AP clients called asking them to "invent" (for lack of a better word) a Paris story, then when something newsworthy happened the next week, they did report it, and now are reporting about their one-week Paris ban during which nothing newsworthy happened and shouldn't have been reported on in the first place.

Paris is still the biggest slut, but I think the AP is giving her a run for her money for the title of "attention whore."

I'd probably still have to hit it.

Ksyrup 03-02-2007 02:25 PM

And we'd definitely not want it reported.

"with my car", I meant.

beauty with a "downmarket" appeal
Is that a fancy way of saying 'looks like white trash'?

That was how I took it.

Agreed on "AP is an attention whore". To do a whole press release about how they did not issue any stories when there were no stories to issues? Well, at least now we know THAT THE MEDIA WAS WHAT WE THOUGHT IT WAS!

MrBigglesworth 03-02-2007 03:52 PM

Media outlets want attention? Get out! The next thing you are going to tell me is that TV stations want viewers!

Karlifornia 03-02-2007 03:58 PM

I'd...as the teenagers say..."have sex with it".
