FOFC Musical Survivor, Volume I, Rd. 3

Two have been eliminated, eight remain. Who will be the sole Survivor?

Kodos 02-21-2003 03:55 PM

It has been decreed that the island is now de-Creed-ed.

How They Went:

Group %vote Vote count Runner-up

1. Backstreet Boys, 63.01% (46 of 73 votes), (Creed second with 6 votes)
2. Creed, 27.59% (16 of 58 votes), (Shania Twain second with 13 votes)

Who will be next to go?

Ksyrup 02-21-2003 03:58 PM

The island should be de-Mutted.

Speaking of which, you do realize that Mutt Lange is responsible for a quarter of the bands that are left, don't you?

JeeberD 02-21-2003 04:00 PM

Gotta keep trying to get the Loaf outta here. It's not quite time for Shania to go, she's just to damn hot...

HornedFrog Purple 02-21-2003 04:16 PM

The anti-Nirvana, anti-Loafers need to concentrate their efforts. I propose the exit of the Loaf now then Nirvana next round.

Kodos 02-21-2003 04:17 PM

Nirvana first. Then I am fine with the Loaf.

JeeberD 02-21-2003 04:18 PM

Sorry HFP. I'm keeping Nirvana around as long as I can.

Ryche 02-21-2003 04:19 PM

Whose music do I like more, Meatload or Shania's? Tossup.

Who would I rather look at? Bye bye Meatloaf.

Well that proposed alliance already fell apart, I already voted Loaf. :D

Kodos 02-21-2003 04:23 PM

D'oh!

Kodos 02-21-2003 04:48 PM

Uh-oh! It looks like the anti-Loaf coalition is working.

The Afoci 02-21-2003 04:50 PM

Down with the Loaf.

Bob has bitch tits.

Bee 02-21-2003 04:53 PM

Shania must go.

And whoever voted for Led Zeppelin should be banned.

:D

Anrhydeddu 02-21-2003 05:00 PM

I am resigned that the Meat and the Bitch will be the next ones to go, but then we get that Garbage band (Nirvana), right?

HornedFrog Purple 02-21-2003 05:03 PM

Well this is the 2nd time I have tried to get rid of Loaf. Even if he doesnt go, Nirvana gets my next round vote.

Kodos 02-21-2003 05:05 PM

I think No Doubt is using the fly under the radar approach that we saw on Survivor Africa.

Anrhydeddu 02-21-2003 05:06 PM

No doubt.

Chief Rum 02-21-2003 05:10 PM

Yeah, I say get rid of the Loaf. Shania's just too hot. And besides, since I actually listen to country music, I have actually heard her songs before they got "pop-ized" and know they ain't bad.

Nothing against the Loaf, but I like the others a lot better. Well, maybe not Nirvana...

Chief Rum

AgPete 02-21-2003 05:16 PM

I don't care how pop Shania is, if I'm stuck on an island, she's staying while Kurt Cobain, Don Henley and the rest of those guys can take a hike! :D

Kodos 02-21-2003 05:21 PM

Meat Loaf isn't half bad looking with his hair cut short...

sabotai 02-21-2003 05:33 PM

Kodos....you worry me sometimes.

Vince 02-21-2003 05:36 PM

Just sometimes?

Kodos 02-21-2003 06:00 PM

He needs a brozier though.

heybrad 02-21-2003 06:02 PM

Whats with the anti Beastie Boys movement?

I agree. Those votes should be going to Nirvana!

Swaggs 02-21-2003 08:16 PM

I have to protest. Shania is not a band. Plus she is Canadian. She must go.

BTW...were the Beatles and Stones numbers 11 and 12?

Swaggs 02-21-2003 08:18 PM

hey brad.

tucker342 02-21-2003 08:49 PM

down with Meat Loaf!!!!!

Craptacular 02-22-2003 01:16 AM

I voted for the Beasties last time, but didnt seem to have a lot of help. We'll get 'em later.

vex 02-22-2003 01:24 AM

Meat Loaf must go!

Vince 02-22-2003 01:28 AM

I propose an anti-Beastie movement next round...I can't stand the Boys.

Tasan 02-22-2003 01:33 AM

sounds good to me Vince, I could never understand their following

QuikSand 02-22-2003 03:59 AM

I can understand most of this... but who looks at this list and says "Yeah, let's get rid of that crappy Led Zeppelin - what did they ever do?"

Did you have a childhood trauma with Stairway to Heaven playing the background?

Take this one all the way back to the Wayne's World movie. It wasn't my anti-Zeppelin vote, but I'll say this much. Those of us who have spent a lot of time in guitar and music stores have heard QUITE enough of darn near EVERY 13-22 year-old-male walking in, picking up the first guitar they can find, and playing the opening riff from Stairway. It certainly isn't Zeppelin's fault, but I can understand if transference occurred on that one. ;)

sabotai 02-22-2003 10:15 AM

Like the opening riff to Stairway is hard to play....

You want to impress someone, walk into a guitar shop, pick up a guitar and play one of those super-fast solo's Kirt Hammett did in the 80's. Then you'll get some deserved attention.

Easy Mac 02-22-2003 10:29 AM

People need to be kinder to the meat.

Craptacular 02-22-2003 11:14 AM

I'm just so sick of Led Zeppelin and how every frickin' radio station I listened to overplayed them. It's "Get The Led Out" at 7:00, not to mention the other 59 times they'll play them today. They're an OK band in my book, but I don't view them as highly as most.

Kodos 02-22-2003 12:22 PM

I like Zeppelin, but I do get tired of hearing how great they are. I had one friend who would never shut up about them.

That's how I grew to dislike many of the teams that I dislike. Idiot fans who won't shut up. So far it hasn't caused me to hate LZ.

P.S. - Robert Plant doesn't make many albums any more. Slacker.

Poor Meat Loaf. Looks like he's on the way out. I will make the Beastie alliance a deal for next round. I'll vote for the Beasties, if they'll vote for Nirvana in the next round. Deal?

HornedFrog Purple 02-22-2003 12:40 PM

No way. Nirvana has been on the list on borrowed time. We must make a stand!

Kodos 02-22-2003 01:06 PM

Horned, we must not be divided and conquered. We must focus on eliminating the right groups. If voting for Beasties gets Nirvana out in the next round, I will do that. :)

It's all about the greater good.

Vince 02-22-2003 03:34 PM

I'm down with Nirvana going down after the Boys. Count me in on the pact!

tucker342 02-22-2003 04:10 PM

I'm also in on that pact.
