Sweet. Looks like I picked the 20th best Louisville Cardinal, according to the first half stats. Oh well, hopefully Williams can turn it on in the second half and, at least, it looks like he'll get to play a second game.

I'm happy with my start, double figures from my 3 guys and all advancing. All three of my guys tomorrow are much more likely to lose than UNC/Maryland, with so few upsets no one is in any trouble yet, I expect that to change tomorrow, no way we make it through the first round without someone getting completely screwed, I just hope it isn't me!

Man, if VCU gets by Pitt or BC knocks off Georgetown, lordscarlet will be tough to beat.

That's what I'm hoping for. :) Well. I want Georgetown to win, but it'll rock my Top Gun score if they don't.

Well, my patented "poisonous touch" affected Russell Carter. 0-6 from 3, wtg guy. Dude was hitting over 40% previously.

28 from JR Reynolds helps offset the Georgia Tech loss, I wasn't expecting that. lordscarlet is having an awesome first round.

Reynolds and Singletary trade off lead scoring a lot. Unfortunately this game was Reynolds's turn, but I'm not going to complain too much about 23. :)

Sweet. I think I'm the only one to not have a player eliminated in the first round.

scores updated, lordscarlet is by far in the best position, and the people with 4 players left are in an early hole, but anything can still happen.

I am little disappointed with my score, but I feel like I still ahve the horses to make a strong run at this.

I'm not looking good for a title defense.

That was the specific reason I drafted Byars in our game :). I didn't think much of Washington State all year, and saw an easy path to the Sweet 16 for a 6 seed.

updated through the end of last night. hoopsguy, goldeneagle and ntndeacon still have a chance to carry 5 players through to the sweet 16, which would be a big edge, even though GE/hoopsguy have big deficits to make up.

hopefully JR Reynolds injury doesn't carry through to the 2nd half. I could really use a 30 point game and a Virginia win :D

4 into the sweet 16, but unfortunately I can only get 2 guys into the final 4. I really need some specific things to happen if I expect to have any kind of a chance to still win this thing. Basically Florida and some other top seeds need to lose next round, I need Southern Illinois and Texas A&M to get into the final 4.

Really need Texas to finish losing here, and needed Purdue to beat stinking Florida.

My guys actually played well in the second round, but I'm down to 3, which makes it a real long shot at best.

I'm not ready to throw in the towel quite yet, although Round 1 was not exactly inspirational.

updated throguh round 2. Swaggs is in a good position, though he'll lose one for sure next round with UNC playing Southern Cal, lordscarlet has to carry all 3 people through to the elite 8 to keep up most likely.

wow i droped!

I'm waving the white flag here - lost my third player tonight. I was really hoping to have Carter around for at least five games. If he kept his average, he would have gotten me 20 points by then instead of the 12 I got through three rounds.

I have 2 moving on with Brooks to go, I may have a shot still

Not that I had much of a chance, but SIU and A&M both losing heartbreakers killed whatever slight chance I had. Those 2 moving on would have given me at least 2 players into the final 4. Ah well.

FWIW, I think Tatum is a bit short, but I think he could be a fairly decent pro. Some guy who may never start, but could easily play 7-10 years in a rotation.
