So, I'm a married guy away on a trip and I met this girl, who is also married. We hit it off. really well. We've kept in touch since we met. Now the issue is that we had a really great connection with each other, nothing I've ever felt before, and I love my wife. So I don't know what it is or how to explain it, and the sense I get from her is the same. We've talked about it and are both actually a little scared about the feeling. Part of me just wants to forget about this girl, but I can't, I find myself thinking about here more and more. Anyway else ever had anything like this happen? Not sure what to do here....thanks

Sure, we could. However, for someone with only 2 posts, it is unlikely any of us know enough about him to give reasonable good advice except for the obvious standard answer that one should never cheat on their spouse.

Wrong place to ask advice. As someone said, you are better off asking a good friend (somebody who knows you well). Somebody who you trust implicitly (ironic huh?).

If so, walk away and walk far away from this woman, especially if you say you love your wife.

But yeah, in general cheating is bad form. And while this chick may seem awesome now, she's also new and the novelty factor makes her more exciting.

Furthermore, you met her on a trip and while you're keeping in touch, it sounds to me like you're doing this from a distance.

So you don't know how she is in day to day reality.

My personal inclination is to say stop all contact with her. You've got too much to lose if you pursue it and she turns out to be not what she seems in this first exciting blush in the long run.

Its not cheating if you do it from behind in the dark, because I mean its not like you can tell who it is.

A good part of your interest/excitement is due to the freshness of the interest from this woman. That you really seem to click with her is only natural. We meet people we click with occasionally.

The question you need to ask yourself is what will happen if you pursue this. First, don't know this woman like you know your wife. She can seem normal now, but imagine having to tell your wife how you got herpes.

If you love your wife as you say you do, the choice should be easy.

If you don't, then be respectful and move on.

At worst be a man about it and tell her, end that relationship and start another if you must, but dont cheat.

Also what everyone else says, its the new exciting factor, and its nice to know another woman is interesteed sometimes. But dont act on it. Give it the test. Close your eyes and envision another man pounding your wife, if you are ok with this I'd probably end the marriage and pursue something else. If not, just remember that is how she would feel.

But seriously, the real golden rule is due unto others as you would have them do unto you. So, the question is if you would have no problem with your wife sleeping with another woman and then telling you about it, then you should go ahead and do the same with your new friend.

When Ashley and I were on a business trip we all stayed at the Hyatt. there was a classroom trainer that I thought was hot and one night Ashley went to bed early and a bunch of us stayed up drinking, hanging out and this was with hot trainer girl and a bunch of other people. As we all started hanging out all I thought about was "Yes this girl is hot yet she is also cool....I really really want Ashley to meet her and hang out with us!" So the next day I introduced Ashley to her and they hit it off and now we all keep in touch via email....

I guess my point is that i have a great wife (come April 29th) and to have more and more cool hot people around is fine, but to even think of sleeping with someone else other than Ashley (outside of the jokes with friends, "Id hit it." etc.) is just something that would make me want to vomit...literally. To me it is truly quite an easy frame of mind to have this not come into question and I guess I have a hard time empathizing with someone who takes the ok reaction i had, "Wow she's hot" and carries it to the bad reaction, "Jeez, I wonder if I should screw around on my wife.".

Original Topic: Really if you're interested in exploring a little somthing on the side, man up and tell your wife you want out. Be straight with her, don't be a little sleaze and sneak around behind her back. Wanting to eat your cake and have it too, in a case like this just isn't fair to your wife.
