No idea, but the spoiler tag doesn't hide the text that pops up when you hover the mouse over the link to the thread. Not that a spoiler is really necessary here.

You mean he was shot!?!? :D

JeeberD 03-30-2007 02:48 PM

I think the best way to use the spoiler tag, if you're going to use it to start a thread, is to make the first post blank and then post the spoiler directly after that...

Butter 03-30-2007 02:51 PM

Where's the SPOILER ALERT?????

Pumpy Tudors 03-30-2007 02:52 PM

SHE SHOT J.R.?!?!?

yeah, just another clever way for you to pad your post count.

I realize there is probably one person on the planet who would be pissed but I guess it is still a spoiler.

True.

Somewhat on the subject, an interesting attempt to figure out what Hobbs' stats would translate to in real life from the clues in the movie...

Great movie. I got the feeling she wanted to be famous by killing the most famous athletes of the time. She would have shot the guy who was similar to Babe Ruth had Roy Hobbs not struck him out.

For those of you who want a bit of a downer, read the book it was based off of.

Okay, so I'm reading something to the effect of the fact that there's some mob guy in the movie who lost big 100k when Hobbs struck out "the babe" and he paid the woman to kill hobbs? I should really rent this movie again sometime.
