Haha, I've had that one, too! My guy was only out about 3-4 weeks, fortunately. Still an amusing malady.

Then your guy was a first time offender. That is assuming you know the history behind this injury, which I shall provide as I believe the history of it gets forgotten periodically.

When Jim sold out to EA Sports he once had the option of drug suspensions in the game. EA, with their cozy relationship to NFL licensing didn't like that one bit. So they asked Jim to drop drug suspensions. In his unique way of protest, Jim came up with tobacco withdrawal as a substitute for drug suspensions. EA said OK and to this day we have it rather than drug suspensions. So if a guy has tobacco withdrawal, know that it's really Jim's clever way of busting him for pot or hgh or steroids.

Sigh. I ought to submit this one to Snopes. Sounds wonderful, but it has absolutely nothing to do with reality.

Sure sounds good, though. I thought I learned something new.:)

Your claim is even funnier after realizing that you posted in the same thread that Jim posted to decry this theory.

I've had my star CB out for 2 years with tobacco withdrawal. I'm glad he's trying to improve his health, but it seems like he should be able to get rid of the shakes after a couple of years. I wish it had been weed, then at least I could feel the brother.

After 1800 posts you kinda lose track on what you said to whom and when. I can't remember where I read the thing about the tobacco withdrawal and certainly don't remember that post in the same thread where Jim debunked it. Yeah, it does look sorta classic.

From: The League Office

The league office has decided to suspend Lorenzo Boyd of New York for the 2019 season.

Boyd tested positive for alcohol use, in violation of the league's strict anti-drug policy.
