I think the "Holy Smokes!" comes from the fact that she is Dennis Kucinich's daughter. If she were anyone else, she's still very attractive, not "Holy Smokes!" attractive, but attractive nonetheless.

Political wives definitely do not tend in this direction. You'd think one of these sleazy guys would have gone the "marry some eye candy" route already just to attract bored voters.

This was my point. I never said she was "hot." It was more like take a second to imagine what Kucinich's wife would look like beforehand, and then looking at the picture -- and my natural reaction was "holy smokes." It was more the contrast than anything, especially that second picture. And again, as far as the wives of current presidential hopefuls, she is certainly at or near the top. I also think general population wise that she could be categorized as a "very attractive woman."

By the way, I don't know what their precise ages are now, but in an October 2005 article, it was stated that she was 27 and he was 58. And she's English.

Wow. That's pretty quick turnaround. But I don't think someone marries a guy like that without some sort of idea that she knows what she's getting into.
