Interactive NCAA Football '07 Dynasty (360)

I'm sure this has been done before, but I thought I'd give it a shot as we wait for '08 to come out in July. This is based on another dynasty ran the same way on a sports board, so I know it can be done. :)

This is an interactive NCAA Multi-Team dynasty. I'm looking for 5-10 people who would control a team in the dynasty. I would sim each of the games and write up recaps and stats, as well as recruiting information for each team. Each player would submit the basic gameplan for that game, and who to recruit.

If you're interested, reply with the following:

Name of Coach:
Name of Team:

Update ..

So far, we have:

JeffNights -- Eastern Michigan
SirFozzie -- Air Force
DeToxRox -- Kentucky
vex -- Tulsa
Neuqua -- Miami (OH)

We have enough to start. If anyone else wants to join, you're more than welcome. If not, I'll get the rosters up in a new Dynasty thread tomorrow afternoon.

Also, I just realized I put this in the wrong forum. Could a mod move this to Dynasty?

Truth be told, it was an accident. I meant to put it in Dynasties. I appreciate you joining up, though.

Do you need to own the game to have any idea how to send you gameplans and the like?

Nope. The template I use (directly from another well run dynasty) is pretty easy. It basically breaks down to this in terms of gameplans:

Offense: (pick a college team's playbook -- ie, WVU if you want to have plays for a spread option).
Offensive Type: They'll be several options, such as West Coast, Option, ect)
Run/Pass: The percentage of time you run as opposed to pass in any given game.
Conservative/Aggressive: How aggressive your playcalling is -- ie, a more aggressive team might go for it on 4th down more often
Sub More/Less: % based, determines how often you sub. An example of 20/80 might mean you sub players much more aggressively)

Same applies to Defense as well.

I will post stats, rosters with ratings and recruiting info (as well as use a website that tracks online dynasties -- hxxp://www.avidmanager.com -- that does alot of tracking as well.

In terms of recruiting, you can be as specific or as general as you want. You can list positions to target in recruiting or even specific players or region to recruit from.

How are you going to handle recruiting? Are you going to list all of the recruits?

Celeval 05-12-2007 08:17 PM

Well, sure, then.

During the in-season recruiting spell I'll start by listing interested prospects, both here and on the dynasty page. I can list, by request, recruits from a specific position or a specific state. I don't mind posting stats and the Avidmanager site makes things alot easier.

Here is an example of a recruiting page I would use for the multi-player dynasty.
